Most do, softly. A soft inquiry does not affect your score and shows the dealer your history without a full report. The dealers on this page advertise no credit check at all, deciding on income, residence and down payment. Treat the claim as a starting point: ask the dealer to confirm before you apply, because website wording is sometimes older than the current policy.
Pay stubs or bank deposits for the last one to three months, a utility bill at your address, a valid licence, personal references and the down payment. Some also require full-coverage insurance before delivery.
Lending without any check is expensive for the dealer, so most buy here pay here lots run at least a soft check and advertise "bad credit OK" instead. If your city has no listing here, the bad credit dealers page covers the same intent with far more options.
