Sold my car here, and it was quick and painless. I filled out the online form, made an appointment, rolled up, was greeted immediately. Total time took less than an hour, and the check I received matched the online offer exactly. The staff were super friendly and resepectful.
i bought a car from Carmax. It was supposed to be AWD, but it was actually FWD. It wasn't the local Carmax's fault. It was mislabeled at the out-of-state Carmax that I had it shipped in from. When I discovered that it wasn't AWD a few months later, Carmax totally owned up to the mistake, and said I could order in an AWD car to replace it. It took a few tries. But I did get a car that worked after the tires were replaced and the car was aligned. Now I love my car. It gets much better gas mileage than expected, and from what I understand (from Google AI,) the high quality tires they put on my car may be part of the reason. After a mistake that was not caused by the Santa Fe Carmax, our local Carmax totally came through making it right, plus really great tires.
I have bought three vehicles from this location, and when I bought my truck I had a few issues. I voiced my concerns and Angie went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase. I will definitely purchase my fourth vehicle from this location. Thanks to all the staff at Carmen Santa Fe.
The lack of knowledge at this location made the car buying experience the opposite of how car buying should be!! Too many Young kids working here who do not know what they are doing and do not know how to handle sales. Came pre approved and that was not easy. Poor/lack of communication skills ruined the whole transaction. Transaction took over 2 hours!! Definitely would use ABQ if you’re interested in CarMax. They were much better.
They high hire folks that dont even introduce themselveswhen you have an appt with them then they sold me a car with dangerously bad brakes like could have died had an accident bad -- rotors were toast i had to bring it back when i live 80 minutes from store and have someone drive me back again they didnt even apologize or follow up or care. Luckily their mechanic cared and fixed it. Then i took car to my mechanic and it needed almost 900 dollars in repairs. This was a about 9 months ago. Im just writing now because i was just so pissed. Carmax is really in the toilet compared to when i first bought and sold with them.
