Selling my car here was one of the smoothest experiences I’ve had. The in-person appraisal was straightforward, and there was zero pressure throughout the process. Everything was explained clearly, the staff was professional, and the entire transaction moved much faster than expected. What stood out most was how easy they made everything feel. No games, no drawn-out negotiations, just a clean and efficient process that respected my time. If you’re looking to sell a vehicle without the usual stress and hassle, I’d definitely recommend giving them a shot.

Easiest car buying experience I have ever had. From shipping in the car to test driving to finalizing the paper work and driving home, it was painless and easy. The sales person at my Carmax that assisted us was extremely friendly and helpful and answered all our questions. All in was there a little under 2 hours and left extremely happy with the experience.

Overall good experience, particularly relative to condition of the vehicle being accurate. I knew exactly what I wanted and searched Nation wide on the Carmax website for a low mileage 2022 white Lincoln Nautilus Black Label with a taupe interior. What I found was located in Orlando FL. It took more than a week for Carmax to bring it to Huntsville AL. During that period I found several other similar Nautilus’, but did not have an urgent need to make a purchase. The trade in offer given on my 2016 MKX was far as was the price of the Nautilus - so I made the purchase after test driving and verifying its exceptional condition. Sarah Lambert was very pleasant and efficient to work with. I had a pre approved loan set up with my CU of choice and we completed the transaction within 24 hours and a second trip back after the funding check was FedEx’d to Carmax. Rating would have been 5 stars if the shipment and transaction would have been quicker. Sarah was the most pleasant car sales person I’ve ever made a purchase with (theirs been several dozen over my years). If you’re not in a hurry to purchase a specific vehicle Carmax may be a good way to go. Do your homework up front.

I stopped by CarMax expecting to shop for a vehicle and was told someone would be available to assist me in about 20 minutes. After waiting roughly 40 minutes, I checked back in and was told the same thing—that it would be another 20 minutes. At that point, I decided to leave and visit another dealership, where I ended up purchasing a vehicle. I understand businesses can get busy, but keeping customers informed and providing realistic wait times goes a long way. Unfortunately, my experience left me feeling like my time wasn't valued.

I came in recently with an appointment to test drive a vehicle with my daughter. The vehicle ended up having a lot more undisclosed, damaged inside and outside of the vehicle, but what was worse was the overpowering smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle. You could smell it from about 5 feet from the vehicle. We could not complete our test drive because it was just too much for us. I spoke to the associate and showed her all the additional damages that were on the vehicle and the issue with the smell which she agreed upon the smell she said she knew. After the appointment, they never did update the vehicle on the site to show all the additional damages that I reported. We ended up scheduling another test drive yesterday for another vehicle only after doing our test drive this vehicle also had much more significant damages that weren’t reported but furthermore, one of the packages that they listed as a feature in the vehicle was not there. This package adds a couple thousand dollar value to the vehicle. When we brought this to attention and also brought up our previous issue, we asked if they could in good Faith cover the 499 shipping of another vehicle that matched the same price but had the packages Or asked what else could possibly be done. They spoke to the manager, and we were informed today that, even though they updated the listing for that vehicle we test drove they would not change the price on it. The price is significantly higher than what it should be, especially since it does not have the package. Not even an apology from the manager. We purchased a vehicle from them last year only to find out the same week that it needed over $12,000 in repairs. I guess this will have to be the last time we use them now. Do not advertise a 125 inspection that is not completed and do not falsley misrepresent material of a vehicle.
