Herb Chambers Cadillac of Warwick

Stopped in at Herb Chambers Cadillac after reviewing some online Caddys that intrigued us. Maz the manager personally greeted us with a smile as we entered the showroom, and took note that one of the many sales folks on site was about to take care of us. Harold, one of the sales reps, was friendly and quickly pulled around the two vehicles that we were interested in. We had a great test drive, and Harold had a lot of experience and knowledge having worked at the dealership for decades. The showroom was very nice, they had snacks and beverages while we got down to brass tacks. There was not much wiggle room for negotiating the sticker price, so getting a fair deal on the trade in was critical. We had done our homework and were ready to walk since we didn’t actually need the car and we had multiple options available at different dealers/online sites. After some back and forth, we landed in an OK spot, and signed the gazillion papers. Benny the Finance guy ran some numbers off the top of his head when it came time for information about warranties and additional coverage beyond what was left on the sale vehicle (not much at 3 mo or 16K miles, whichever came first). We saw the other online (bad) reviews about warranties and what was covered and what wasn’t covered, as that was a big concern of ours with pre-owned. Benny laid it all out, and was upfront that it’s essentially all à la carte for “extras” (e.g. Electrical is separate from Wheel/Rims, which is separate from Dings/Dents, which is separate from fabric/interior). So plan to add another few thou to the final price. The whole process took us all day (seriously ALL DAY), but we left satisfied, even after “final inspection,” before we almost drove away before noticing a missing piece of hardware (related to the camera sensors) they promised to replace for free (once the part was ordered of course). After getting home that evening, we found a few other issues that we didn’t recognize earlier that day and they were fast to make an appointment to get them corrected for free as well. Amazing. That’s exactly the customer service we wanted/expected to get to become repeat customers for additional future purchases. BOTTOM LINE: We left with a car we were happy with at a fair price, from a team of folks who actually seemed interested in creating a long term relationship with us as clients. So far, customer service has been excellent! That was exactly why we went in the first place, so it was #worthit to have a REAL PERSON (or three), we plan to go back to again for future purchases.

My sales person was Jackie. She was wonderful. She has the coolest keyboard I’ve ever seen. On top of that, she’s knowledgeable, courteous and very personable. Maz the exec GM makes a mean cappuccino and was eager to make deal. Ben, in finance was very detailed and actually saved me a few bucks. Overall a fine car buying experience!
