Im a little late making a review but I purchased a 2019 Honda Civic SI in the really rare tonic yellow from carmax sales people were great! Everyone was very helpful it was stressful as a first time buyer but at the end of the day it turned out pretty great, my only complaint is my civic had its original tires from 2019 and they were pretty hard and starting to dry rot, for a 26 thousand dollar car I would expect at least some newer/not bad tires, during the rain I had basically no traction due to the condition of the tires but it was great other than that!

I Paid $500 to have a car shipped through Carmax, it seemed like a great car with low miles and one owner. I Made an appointment to test drive it. The salesman did not have the car pulled up front and immediately had me start doing paperwork to purchase. When I told him I wanted to test drive the car first he acted surprised as if this is an uncommon practice. I truly believe he was trying to get me to buy the car sight unseen because there was no way I was going to buy that car in the condition it was in. There were at least 10 deep scratches down to the paint and rust on the car. Some of the other deep scratches appeared to have been concealed with whiteout. NONE of this was disclosed on the car listing, as there was only one small imperfection noted. The manager got involved and shook my husband's hand but not mine even though I was the one purchasing the car. They offered a $250 credit to get a different car shipped. I feel they should have refunded the full amount of the shipping cost due to false advertising. We have bought and sold cars through Carmax years ago so I expected better service for repeat customers but I think they have gone downhill. My trust is completely eroded with Carmax.

Sold me a lemon. Paid over 6k for a van with a bad transmission. I explained to the salesman that my brother would be helping me get to appointments and it was very important we find something reliable. I didn't expect perfection. Ugly was fine. When I called I was screamed at and hung up on. Lesson learned.
