I was surprisingly shocked that CarMax wasn't trying to rip me off like others when it came time to sell my Jeep! They give so many days to honor that quote too and the transition was very smooth. The closest location was a nice distance away but well worth it. Was also very clean inside (the Akron location) Keep up the great work

CarMax went above and beyond to ensure I had a great experience. I recently purchased a truck from CarMax in Akron, OH. The customer service was outstanding. The purchasing process itself was easy, straightforward, and quick. There was no haggling over price or having to deal with the traditional car dealership sales tactics. They also gave me a very fair amount for my trade-in. The truck was shipped in from several states away. Unfortunately, there was damage to the truck during shipping. CarMax showed me the damage as soon as I arrived at the dealership and promised to have it fixed after purchase. They not only fixed the damage as promised, but made sure it was completed beyond my satisfaction in very timely manner. The store General Manager was in frequent contact with me to ensure satisfaction. I would definitely use CarMax for a future car purchase and recommend their easy, haggle-free process to anyone.

I bought a Mustang here last week and overall I am happy but I wish some things could have been handled better. Positives - I had to pay $149 to transfer the car I wanted to buy from Alabama to Ohio..no problem there, it arrived fairly fast. My salesman Chris was a super friendly dude, took my fiance, friend and I on a test drive, had a great sense of humor made the whole buying process super easy. Negative - I guess you could say the only negative thing I have to say is the condition of the car. Yes it's a used car and no car is perfect. I have worked at a dealership the last 12 years as a detailer and understand how it all goes lol. The car had hail damage, approximately 14 dents that I had to pay a pdr guy to fix. The car wasn't detailed, it was pretty grimey on the inside. The wheels all have curb rash, the rear bumper has a decent gap in it, and they also drilled holes through the rear bumper to put a plate on when there's already holes to put plate screws in. I was told nothing would be fixed. Really not happy about any of this. Yes I had the option to not buy it, but it's a car I've looked for and wanted to buy..not to mention I drove 4 hours round trip to get. Carmax has a clean dealership and the sales staff is really nice. But if you're looking for a cosmetically nice used car, I would look elsewhere.
