This is the most trust worty dealership you could find in North Carolina. Honest, reliable, willing to help. My husband slid on Ice during the winter storm and totaled one of our vehicles and insurance didn't help. This is the only dealership during our search that offered reliable cars for honest prices. On our way to this dealership our jeep broke down and they gave us tools to fix our jeep. I can't recommend this dealership enough. Super clean lot, wonderful cars. Timur was super empathetic towards our situation and only cared about helping us. Please look no further for a vehicle. God bless you guys you are angels!!!

There aren't enough stars for me to accurately review River Rat Auto Sales. They are an amazing business with the utmost integrity, honesty, and unmatched customer service. They went far above and beyond what I have ever experienced buying a vehicle. Timur is simply amazing and extremely knowledgeable. Matt, the owner, is equally awesome. Not only was the service superb, but I love my beautiful new Volvo XC60. It is a fantastic vehicle in perfect working order for a more than fair price. If myself, my daughter's, or anyone I know is ever in the market for a car, I'm sending them directly to River Rat Auto Sales. Awesome people, awesome vehicles...you can't go wrong buying from them!!!! Check them out before you go anywhere else. If they don't have what you're looking for, they'll find it. I'm saddened to report that after roughly 3 months of purchasing my vehicle the head gasket has blown and I've had to replace the motor. While I know this is a buy here pay here company, the circumstances leading up to this were what I believe to be the mechanics fault. Before driving the car off the lot, Timur told me that he had to get a new thermostat placed in the vehicle. After officially leaving the lot with the new thermostat my heat would only blow cold air. A few weeks later the car ran hot causing the radiator to crack. Timur was nice enough to have the car towed to have his mechanic look at it in which he ultimately replaced the radiator. The car continued to run hot and we had to continuously place fluids in the car. We discovered that after the mechanic replaced the radiator he did not clamp the tube that connects the radiator to the jug that holds the coolant which in my opinion an amateur mechanic should have caught. Shortly after all of this, the head gasket blew in the car. After receiving a diagnostic test we learned there was coolant in the piston of the engine and it was evident that Timur's mechanic did not install the thermostat in correctly from the beginning. I'm not sure if the valve was stuck open or closed as I do not know a lot about cars but I have learned a ton throughout this whole process. I ultimately had to replace the motor in the car only a few months after purchase due to the negligence of this mechanic. I spoke with Timur throughout this process and learned that the mechanic quit abruptly after the new year. My issue with Timur in all of this is after speaking with him about the situation he told me that he understands why I would ask for his assistance in finding another motor or helping to purchase a used one. I even told him that I'd be willing to purchase one from him. He explained to me during the buying process that he works independently although the owner of River Rat agreed to share the space with him due to his excellent salesmanship. When the time came for Timur to honor his word in helping fix what his mechanic broke he told me he had to speak with the owner first and that he would contact me back asap. I knew that I would not hear back from him because he had previously told me that he pretty much runs his own ship and how he has access to over 10,000 cars. I was pretty disappointed because I thought very highly of Timur but it seems that when it came to doing what was morally right he just couldn't meet me half way. This is not to bash anyone as I do feel none of it was intentional but I do feel I got the short end of the stick in this whole process which sucks when you're a full time student who gives a dealer your last in good faith.

Bought a car here in December and had issues from the start, they claimed they fixed it but obviously not because it still had issues and we took it to an actual shop and needs a total engine replacement. Waste of money and out a car that was very much needed. Would give 0 stars if that was an option
