Two Purchases Reviewed - Out of State Buyer: Summary: if you are buying a used car from anywhere in the US, Dolan Auto should be at the top of your list. 1. A year ago I bought a 2020 Jeep Wrangler from them - single best car buying experience I've ever had. (I have an unhealthy habit of buying & selling used cars from all over the country lol!) Most impressive was the work Dolan put into the reconditioning. As an out of state buyer, the first thing I did was have my neighbor & friend who is a mechanic with 25+ years of experience put it on a lift and go through it. Said he was sad because he doubted we would ever need to do anything but maintenance! 2) Having had such a good experience....I just bought a 5 year old Lexus GX from their Toyota dealer. Same thing. My mechanic friend threw it up on the lift. Simply remarkable. Whoever runs their reconditioning program should get a medal. Huge thanks to the Dolan Auto team for the attention to details that really matter over the life-cycle of auto ownership!

My Mom and I went to buy a car at Dolan Toyota in Reno. Grant was our sales guy and he was absolutely great! Once they received the ‘ok’ that we’re buying we were asked to wait for the finance guy, Doug. We waited almost an hour or longer, watching co-workers coming in and out of his office, laughing, joking, on his cell for a bit….then we were finally called in to sign the paperwork. All said and done, we were told to come back to drop off the check and pick up the original keys as we were just given a spare. Come back to pick up the keys and we’re only give a hard copy no FOB/clicker. I emailed Doug asking where the FOB is and he never responded. I called the front desk and was told Ricky the manager would call me back. Never got a call. Was sent a text from the front desk that the key was given to us already. We still have no clicker/FOB which I can’t even get a hold of anyone to ask because I’ve tried, left a message for Grant, emailed Doug and left a message for Ricky not one of those people got back to me to even explain if a FOB comes with the car! It might not so all this for nothing! Could of all been avoided with just a phone call.

Bought a used car (Chevy) from their Toyota dealership. I specifically asked the sales person if this dealership would service the Chevy. He told me yes, so I bought their extended warranty, only to find out a few months later that I can’t take my car to their dealership, I have to go to a Chevy dealership. I don’t like being lied to (the sales manager defended the salesperson by telling me he was a recent hire-just an excuse, in my opinion, to cover up the fact that they will do whatever they can to sell a car). Now I have to hope the 3rd party warranty is worthwhile when I go to the Chevy dealership next week.

I have had the worst experience with these people. I have my car for two months. I can’t even drive the car because of one paperwork because they’re having me sign a paper saying there’s less miles than what is actually on the car and they treat you like you’re five or something I am 68 years old very smart woman. I am just chewing nails at this point a brand new car I bought and it has 101 miles on it and supposed to be brand new with this shit.

DO NOT BUSINESS HERE! Especially with FLOYD! Don’t believe whatever “family owned dealership” story he wants to tell you and how they don’t work commission. SHUT UP!! They matched my trade in value that I got from CARMAX so I was expecting $2k back from my old lender. My old lender said that Dolan only sent the exact amount to pay off my trade in. Floyd and Chris told me that I was would be receiving the balance back from my old lender. I asked where that $2k went? Floyd said it went to a “blank down payment”. WTH is that!!?! And wasn’t it on the paper I signed? I REPEAT DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!
