I had a great experience with Ride Auto Sales when I purchased my first car on January 3, 2026. The whole process was smooth and they were very helpful throughout everything. My car has been working perfectly and was in really great condition when I got it. Because of how positive my experience was the first time, I’m now getting my second car from them and I’m really excited about it. I definitely recommend Ride Auto Sales to anyone looking for a reliable vehicle and great customer service!

ZERO STARS. My 18yr old son needed a reliable car to get back and forth from college in WI. He found a 2010 Ford Focus at Ride Auto Sales and liked it. I do light car repair so I came along to test drive it. It was clear immediately that it wasn't braking as kt should. The new calipers on the front and rusted drums on the back end told me they only did half the job to get it off of their lot. I asked Marco to reduce the cost by $200 for the rear brakes that clearly needed to be done as it was a safety issue. Marco said he couldn't reduce the price at all. My son bought it "as-is" and we drove it home to do the rear brakes but we couldn't get the drums off. We took it to a shop where they used a drum puller and the rear brakes were completely gone, only the new front calipers were stopping this car. After spending over $500 on parts and labor, I emailed Ride Auto Sales for them to refund part of the cost of this car because Fraud Exception and Safety Defects are serious matters under MN Commerce Laws. They've been sued by other "customers" but beware, my son wasn't experienced enough to realize the brakes were only operating at 50% and I had to get it safe before he drove back to school. If you do not have someone inspect the car you wish to purchase, don't buy from here. Others have said they enforce a $200 non-refundable deposit to have someone inspect their cars. Avoid this scammy flipper of cars and go elsewhere.

This dealership doesn't actually close at 5 PM. It closes whenever they decide they no longer want to help customers. My sister arrived at 1:30PM for a scheduled appointment. I told the rep that I will also be coming but I will be there at 4:15pm. We are located 1.5hrs south of the Twin Cities, was 95% confident that we were buying that car. They told me they couldn't serve me that late. ***According to the employee I spoke with, it doesn't matter if you're in the middle of filling out paperwork or have an appointment scheduled—they stop helping customers at 5:00 PM sharp because they have another job to go to.*** I understand that appointments are required, and some transactions can take longer than others. However, there appears to be no flexibility whatsoever. In my experience working with multiple dealerships over the years, I've never had a salesperson simply walk out the door the moment closing time arrives, especially when they are already assisting a customer that is buying the car. This dealership will do exactly that. If that's the policy, then stop advertising that you're open until 5:00PM. And also please fix your website about walk-ins. Customers shouldn't have to guess how early they need to arrive to receive service. Extremely frustrating experience and a complete waste of time.

My sister had an appointment today at 10 am to test drive a specific vehicle on their lot. When we arrived we were told it needed gas so after over a half hour and not being told anything a salesman drives up with it already running. Pulled out of the lot and turned on the A/C and it blew warm air. We took it for a test ride and after about five miles the gas light came on. So they did NOT take it to put in gas. Huge red flag. We looked a Honda CRV that chugged along Hwy 13 for a mile or so and we brought back. Also wanted $4k down on vehicle price of $6995. Very shady IMO.

Sales person was nice and easy to deal with, however they listed and advertised 2005 4Runner in good reliable shape even though upon assessment I was warned the gas tank was at risk of falling off in addition to structural rust damage, both noted as a potential safety concerns. As with anywhere do your diligence but the owner claims this level of rust is normal and refused any voluntary remediation or help. Can't reccomend even if the initial experience was pleasant.
