I recently purchased a 2026 Golf R in Graphite Grey, and honestly, dealers in Washington State had almost turned me off from both the car and the brand altogether. One dealer strung me along for weeks promising an MSRP deal, only to completely switch things up two weeks before the car’s expected arrival. At that point, I decided I’d rather pay to ship a car across the country than give that dealer one dime over what we originally agreed on. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I cannot say enough good things about Steve at Bud Brown Volkswagen. He is, without question, the reason I continue to trust this dealership with my vehicle. About a week ago, I brought my car in for what I believed was an oil warning light. After dropping it off, I was informed it was actually the check engine light. The vehicle spent the entire day at the dealership, and after having to follow up myself, I was told it only needed a software update and that the issue had been resolved. Unfortunately, the additional services I had specifically requested were not completed. I had asked for a full service, tire rotation, and multi-point inspection. I was even told over the phone that the inspection was something routinely performed on all vehicles. However, when I picked up my car, the final paperwork clearly stated that the multi-point inspection had not been performed, and the tire rotation had not been completed either. The only work performed was the software update. To make matters worse, the very next morning the check engine light came back on. After several emails and phone calls, I ultimately dropped the vehicle off again. Thankfully, Steve had returned from vacation. From the moment I explained the situation, he listened carefully, treated me with respect, and genuinely cared about making things right. He took ownership of the issue and assured me he would personally look into it. I was not in a rush to get my vehicle back. My priority was having the problem properly diagnosed and repaired, and I again requested the full service. Steve understood exactly where I was coming from. He kept me informed, took the time necessary to ensure the vehicle was thoroughly inspected, and worked to identify the actual cause of the problem rather than simply rushing the car back out the door. After two additional nights in the shop, I received a call on the third day letting me know everything had been taken care of. The difference in service once Steve became involved was night and day. Steve consistently provides outstanding customer service, clear communication, honest advice, and a level of professionalism that is increasingly hard to find. He saves me time, money, and frustration because I know I can trust his recommendations and his commitment to doing things correctly. Bud Brown Volkswagen is fortunate to have him. In my opinion, he is one of the dealership's greatest assets. I sincerely hope he doesn't retire anytime soon because his experience, dedication, and customer-first approach make a tremendous difference.
