Preferred Auto Illinois Road

My wife and I worked with Justin C. He was amazing! Super easy to talk to. After we broken down what were looking to do he was able to get us in the car we were looking for and on the road with no hassle. We got the most for my trade in and walked away with the car we wanted in less then 3 hours start to finish.

From the moment I first contacted Preferred Auto I felt comfortable. My salesman Steve was very helpful and answered all of my questions. I live about 2 hours away so I asked him to be my eyes when it came to viewing the vehicle I was interest in. He assured me that is was sound mechanically and cosmetically. I put $500 down and scheduled to pick it up in the next couple of days. He informed me later that a window needed a regulator. He scheduled that to be repaired and advised me that they should have it back by the time I arrived. Steve called me the day I was going to pick it up and said the Honda dealership where they took the car for repair was running a bit behind and it may not be ready by the time I got there. I assured him that that was fine and made my way there. When I arrived the car was just getting finished up. I met with the finance manager Brett who was awesome and the entire paperwork ordeal only took about a half hour. Very pleased with my purchase and would recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a terrific used car.

I had a great experience here purchasing a new vehicle. Cars are well maintained, represented truthfully, and I never felt any sense of being pushed into anything I didn't want. Special shoutout to Justin and Steve — these guys are amazing! Be sure to ask for one of them if you shop here. This is actually the first independent-style dealership I've gone to, and I was very satisfied. As with any dealer, make sure you pay close attention to final paperwork — we had an issue with ours but they were super kind and easy to work with to make the fix. I would recommend anyone to come here and I would purchase from them again!

Extremely disappointed with my experience. I purchased a truck from this dealership, and less than two weeks later the transmission failed. I understand used vehicles can have issues, but having such a major problem so soon after purchase raises serious concerns about the inspection process and the quality of vehicles being sold. I expected honesty and reliability, and unfortunately, this experience has been anything but that. I would strongly encourage anyone considering buying here to have the vehicle thoroughly inspected by an independent mechanic before signing anything!

Horrible place to buy a car. Know from first hand experience. Save your money and go somewhere else!! Brakes on backwards.. caliper bolt stripped. DO NOT GO HERE 04/03/26 NOW MY TRANSMISSION IS MESSED UP!!!!
