We bought a brand-new 2026 Traverse through Samuel. Awesome and friendly dude, made everything convenient and quick. This would be our second vehicle that we have bought through Kenny Kent; the oil changes are always quick too, with good hospitality.
Service department did a good job handling our recall on our Chevy Blazer , I appreciated not having Headaches or excuses from the dealer.
Awful purchasing experience. As a customer, i had to do the talking and initiate the conversation or it would just be awkward silence.I couldn't stand silent treatment for too long so the entire time, as a customer who was looking for buying a new vehicle, I was the one trying to get process going and light up the mood. Needless to say, at the end I decided to just walk out even though it was close to a deal. My money should spend somewhere people try to bring me joy, not me trying to pleasing them.
I have purchased 2 vehicles from Kenny Kent in the last 2 years. One brand new, one certified. The salesman is the only reason I made a purchase. He is a top rate human. He is the only reason I came back for warranty work. I had hope I could purchase from him again, but I don’t think I can with the Kenny Kent experience I had. The Certified truck purchased 2 months earlier needed a coolant control valve. I made a Friday afternoon appointment. Had a stored DTC but no active DTC. I know this because I’m a pretty serious hobby mechanic. I had data logs with the check engine codes and the stored DTCs. It was a known issue with GM bulletin. The service writer said there were no codes and they couldn’t do anything after diagnostic. That was a bold face lie. I left and came back in a couple hours when the active DTC came back. After a quick inspection, the service writer tells me there isn’t a coolant control valve in stock and they may be on back order. But he said he would get it on order. He said it would be ok to drive and he would call me tomorrow. The truck made it to Henderson and went into reduced power. I had to tower back to Kenny Kent. I called the salesman to update him and ask to keep an eye on it. I drive an hour to do business with this salesman. He very regrettably tells me the part is actually in stock. I can assume the service writer knew it was in stock but couldn’t be bothered on a Friday afternoon. They work on the truck Saturday and break a hose. The hose had to be ordered from Texas. I get my truck back the next Friday. Service writer tells me they also stripped the drain plug bolt, but replaced the bolt free of charge……. The last 2 oil changes were done at Kenny Kent…… absolutely ridiculous. Days after getting it back I have a coolant leak, a leaking trans cooler line, and a leaking oil drain plug bolt. If you’re reading this, none of it is made up. It’s as crazy as it sounds. It’s been an absolute disaster. The dealership team seems mismanaged, they have a quality of work problem, and the only person I have met in your 4 walls that gives a shit about customer interaction or communication is the salesman I purchased from. Buyers beware, the is not a best in class dealership. It’s not a middle of the road dealership. It’s a legacy dealership that is poorly managed and will struggle without making serious cultural changes.
I dropped my car off at 9am for an oil change, cabin filter, air filter, and an alignment. They called around 11am to let me know their recommendations. Great, let’s do it. At 3:30pm I called to get the status of my vehicle so I could plan the rest of my afternoon. I spoke to 4 people who did nothing but jerk me around. One even said he was in a different building and didn’t have the number to the dealership. I asked one to transfer me to a manager and she transferred me to the main line. I called sales and explained what was going on and to please help me find out what was going on. She also transferred me to the main line. Finally my service person called literally 5 minutes after I got the run around from the entire dealership. When I got to the dealership he was no where to be found. I politely asked another person to please check me out so I could go home. Zero customer service and the customer service “employees” were quick to transfer you to the main line so that you could start the entire process all over again. 100% would never recommend. They will never touch my vehicle again.
