We recently decided to trade in our financed 2021 Tesla Model Y for a leased 2026 Tesla Model 3. I first requested a trade-in quote directly with Tesla. The initial offer was reasonable, but after I committed to ordering the new car, Tesla reduced their original trade-in offer by 2,000 dollars, which was very frustrating. Because of that, I decided to get online quotes from both CarMax and Carvana. CarMax offered 15,000 dollars and Carvana offered 15,500 dollars. I provided the exact same information and photos of the vehicle to both companies. However, after 24 hours, Carvana suddenly reduced their offer from 15,500 dollars to 7,800 dollars. That was extremely disappointing and felt very unreliable. Even though I was already expecting another disappointment, I went ahead and scheduled an appointment with CarMax, assuming they would also lower their offer in person. To our surprise, CarMax fully honored the entire online process and paid the 15,000 dollars they had originally offered. The process was very simple, fast, and transparent from start to finish. I also want to highlight the excellent service provided by Raf (Lakeland branch), the associate who helped us. He was professional, clear in his explanations, and made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. Because of this positive experience, I will definitely keep CarMax in mind whenever I want to sell a car in the future.

Wow, I am incredibly impressed with CarMax's at-home pickup service. I was skeptical about whether they would honor the online appraisal offer, but the inspector arrived right on time, verified the vehicle, and handed me a bank draft for the exact amount promised down to the penny. There was absolutely zero haggling, no games, and no last-minute renegotiations. The entire transfer and paperwork process took less than 15 minutes right on my driveway. If you want a fast, transparent, and completely stress-free way to sell your vehicle, I highly recommend using them!

We recently purchased a travel trailer and needed a capable truck to tow it. After comparing options on several major sites, we narrowed it down to three trucks, one of which was at CarMax in Lakeland. We also submitted our GMC Terrain for a trade-in estimate and were pleasantly surprised when their offer matched what Kelley Blue Book recommended. Even if the truck didn’t work out, we were ready to sell them the Terrain based on the offer. We booked a test drive and came in to see the truck in person. Bruce greeted us right away, grabbed the keys, and had us on our way for a test drive after a quick license check. No salesperson joined us, which was a nice surprise. Once we were in the truck, we verified its towing capacity by checking the stickers inside the door and glove box. It not only had the capacity but also had a factory trailer brake controller, which sealed the deal. We decided to move forward and were bracing for the usual dealership tactics, but none of that happened. They honored the online purchase offer, respected our online financing pre-qualification, and didn’t try to upsell or push extras. The longest wait was just for them to detail the truck and fill the tank. My wife and I both dread car shopping, but this was easily the most hassle-free experience we’ve ever had. The truck came with a 3-month, 4,000-mile warranty and a 10-day return policy, which gave us extra peace of mind. We’ll be replacing another vehicle in a couple of years, and CarMax will be our first stop. Hopefully Bruce is still there, he was fantastic to work with.

I just have to shout out the service department. Mike has been nothing short of amazing. I had just bought a jeep grand Cherokee and pretty quickly it developed an issue. I took it to the service department & they were awesome. I made an appointment to come back about a week and a half later.. They fixed my car & even took care of a tire issue that I didn’t asked to be fixed. It was the easiest and by far BEST experience that I have had with a repair EVER. Zero out of pocket costs for me because I was still in my 30 day warranty period. After that I have CarMax a extended warranty. 10 stars ✨

This dealership was so very great to work with. Especially my salesman Rob. He showed me 3 of the type vehicles I wanted to look at. He Informed me about the difference of each one. When I made my decision on which one I wanted he made the process of getting through the financing really easy. He was extremely patient with all my questions, polite and seemed really invested in making me very happy with my choice. They have a 10 day return window & to fix any problems if any that come up. In fact he drove the car to my driveway on Mon after Sat purchase because I was too nervous to drive in rte 4 traffic home since my 18 yr old vehicle didn't have any of the bells & Whistles the newer car had. Thank you Rob for doing that for me.
