I visited Carmax in Madison today. I have an elderly mother in law who can no longer drive and we needed to sell her car. I walked in and was greeted by a manager named David. He was polite and listened to our situation with empathy and patience. Douglas then took over and helped us get a quote on selling her vehicle. He was more than fair with the offer and let me know that to sell the car, my MIL would need to be here. Douglas understood the situation and helped us expedite the process, while we got her over to sign the paperwork. Lashawn helped finalize the payments and paperwork and was so kind with my family that I will be forever grateful for how empathetic she was while dealing with a hard situation. Explained everything perfectly clear and left us with no questions. Handled this transaction perfectly for our family. I would work with David, Douglas or Lashawn anytime. If you are in the need, head to carmax and ask for one of these folks by name and I’m sure you will receive excellent service. I was impressed.

Very professional and easy to navigate website and giving you a simplified purchasing experience that is decided by you I did most of the paperwork on line and I was only in the dealership for 15 minutes and I left in my new car. I would definitely recommend.

Staff was very friendly and knowledgable. Destiny did an amazing job, and kept me informed the whole way through the process. We were in and out in just under 2 hours including the test drive and all the paperwork. I have had car buying experiences elsewhere that were just as long and I wanted to pull my hair out through most of it, but here we left with a smile. Appointment was right on time, and they took good care of us.

This was my first time ever buying a car, and I wasn’t expecting to leave with an Acura! I went in on a Friday and Alexis let me know she could hold it for me until Saturday night. I got approval from my bank for the car and she honored my request to hold it until Monday. I worked with Destiny to finalize everything and she made it so quick and easy. Genuinely such a great and one of experience. It’s only been a week, but my car has been wonderful and I only love her more with each day😆.

Trash. Worst experience ever buying a car. Incompetent. I purchased a 2021 Mach 1. I found it at their Kenosha location and was ok driving there to look at it but they insisted on having it transferred to the Madison location. Surprise surprise it was damaged in the process. (lower front spoiler) Was told they will order it and we agreed to have it shipped to my house (saving them labor and my drive time of 1.5hrs.) 3 weeks later still no part and find out it's not ordered. I was asked to go to a Ford dealership to get an estimate for it to be ordered and replaced but email or call to get the approval. Furthermore on the day I am there to pick it up, the workers are out in the drive through revving the motor and snapping photos of each other around the car. What a horrible experience. It was embarrassing honestly. These are the people who can't get jobs at normal operating dealerships and are order takers and don't give a damn about customer service. Punching the clock. I had been searching for this specific car for quite a while but they were all on the east or west coast. If there was another one anywhere close I would have purchased it elsewhere. There should be a zero star option.
