Bruce was very helpful. I met with him after my first Highlander was totaled. He knew what I wanted and called when he found it in the build list for this dealership. It was early enough that I was able to add components to the build. Just picked up my Highlander and I am completely thrilled!! Everyone involved in the process was extremely helpful and kind. Just over 2 months from the date of accident and I have my new ride which is more than I expected! This is the 3rd new vehicle I have purchased from Kolosso in 9 years. I have had great experiences with both the sales and service teams, including the body shop. I don’t have a reason to seek out any other dealerships.
I saw a bolt sticking out of my car’s rear tire after returning home from the store. I had purchased new tires only 10 weeks earlier. I called the Service Department at Kolosso Toyota in Appleton at 1:45p and they were able to give me an appointment for 2:30. I didn’t see any signs of the tire losing pressure, but I needed a second opinion. They said the bolt was small and declared the tire was safe to use. While I was there, they also completed an inspection of the car’s hybrid cables as required by a Toyota recall. The evaluation of the tire damage and the recall inspection were both completed within an hour, efficiently and courteously.
When I bought my car from Kolosso, their salesman was very enthusiastic about a wheel and tire coverage package they offered. He explained it covered EVERYTHING, including damage I caused from curb rash to a cracked wheel, cosmetic or functional. Since the vehicle options I picked included a visually appealing and expensive set of wheels, I decided the thousand dollar warranty was worth it. A year later I hit a bump in the road at regular speeds and managed to severely dent the inside lip of the wheels on the passenger side. It's so bad that's it's visually noticeable at any distance. They wobble when driving and it's extremely noticeable at any speeds, to the point of being worrisome on the highway. When I had my car in with Kolosso, they noticed it immediately and told me the wheels needed to be replaced. I referred to my warranty that should cover it. They told me that it only applied to wheel damage that caused the tires to not hold air. Upon reviewing the policy this appears to be correct. Kolosso told me and acknowledges that it's unsafe to drive and damaging to other suspension components and needs to be replaced, yet the comprehensive insurance package for the wheels they sold me apparently doesn't cover this because they don't NEED to be replaced. Any dealership worth working with would have stepped up and covered me in this instance yet even after escalating they refused to help and were dismissive of my frustration and refused to acknowledge the false claims made when selling me the car. I have told everyone who comments on my car or asks where I got it this story and would not recommend working with Kolosso for anything you want peace of mind with.
One star is still too much for this place. Brought my car in to check out an engine light that came on. The only documented video that I received was the initial basic inspection. The first amount was $680 for a scan and fuel injection cleaning. After we refused to pay an additional $1200, they left the glove box laying on the floor and for some reason the driver's floor mat in the trunk. By the way we dropped the car off at 9:15am and they had it all day until closing. This was the second time we had terrible customer service and just don't trust them, they will bleed you dry. I will forever go to Bergstrom's for car service or to purchase a car.
⭐ Updated Review: Very Disappointed With Kolosso Collision – Had to Get the Truck Re-Repaired Elsewhere I’m updating my review after all the issues I had with Kolosso Collision’s repair on my 2022 Toyota Tacoma. Kolosso actually finished my repair three days early, which would normally be great — but it became obvious the work was rushed and not done correctly. At first, I didn’t notice every problem. I was at work showing my coworkers the repair, and they were the ones who pointed out the huge gap by the bumper and headlight. The gap was so wide I could slide a quarter into it with room to spare (photo included). That should never happen on a correct repair. So I brought the truck back and spoke with the shop manager, Angie. She was not helpful at all. She went to get the technician who worked on my truck, and before they came back, I actually started recording the conversation, because I already felt something wasn’t right. They tried to tell me the issue was just a “bumper drop problem,” and that it was common. But if everything had been replaced and aligned the way it was supposed to be, there should NOT have been any “bumper drop.” Their explanation didn’t make sense — it felt like excuses instead of solutions. Because nothing added up, I took my truck to Bergstrom Subaru Collision in Oshkosh for a second opinion. Bergstrom examined it and found multiple underlying issues that Kolosso either missed or didn’t repair properly. From the photos Bergstrom took, it’s very obvious someone at Kolosso did try to bend and straighten some of the internal brackets and metal tabs — but they didn’t do it correctly. Instead of replacing parts or properly aligning the supports, it looks like someone just forced things into place. That kind of shortcut is exactly why the gaps were huge, the bumper sat low, and the fender didn’t line up. Bergstrom corrected everything the right way. Now: • The gaps are tight and even • A quarter or penny won’t fit anywhere • The hood-to-grille line is smooth and straight • The entire front end looks factory again State Farm covered Bergstrom’s work, but the bottom line is this: I had to go to another shop to get the repair done correctly. I’ve worked on vehicles for over 30 years. Anyone with experience can see the difference between a proper repair and a rushed job — and unfortunately, Kolosso’s work fell far short.
