We had been shopping for a family car for over a month. After driving cars at dealerships all over Memphis, we returned to Car Smart. The pressure to find the right car was pressure enough, Marsha and Del at Car Smart understood that. They didn't apply any pressure. They patiently waited in the heat to grab us key after key for different vehicles because my wife and I were not close to being on the same page. They waited, listened, and suggested a vehicle based on both of our needs. As soon as we drove it, we instantly knew this was the one. Even James Brown, the finance manager made us feel comfortable. He also is a car guy, we interrupted the deal to talk about how the Grand National was ahead of its time. Car Smart had a very down to earth atmosphere. It feels authentic and honest. Every car had a VIN Check sheet. Even the other saleman, Stephen, was joking and talking to us like we were old friends. This was honestly the best car buying experience we've ever had. Marsha and Del both get the thumbs up from us.

They demonstrated a commendable ability to attentively listen to my specific needs and preferences, offering expert guidance without ever employing high-pressure sales tactics, which I greatly appreciated. The Ford Explorer I purchased has proven to be an excellent vehicle, fully meeting my expectations. The entire transaction was characterized by efficiency and ease, making it a completely stress-free process. Despite traveling over 100 miles to visit Memphis Car Smart, the superior service I received made the journey entirely worthwhile. I fully intend to return for all my future vehicle purchases.

On Friday, I spoke with a sales representative named Paul at Enterprise about trading in my SUV and exploring my options. During our phone conversation, he seemed eager and genuinely interested in helping me, and he scheduled an appointment for me the following day at 2 PM. When I arrived, Paul was late, but a kind associate named Gloria kept me company, which I appreciated. Once Paul arrived, I explained my situation and what I was looking for in my next vehicle. I understand that sales representatives have a job to do, but I did not appreciate being made to feel discouraged or as if my expectations were unrealistic. For example, Paul asked whether reliability or style was more important. I clearly stated that reliability was my top priority, but I also expressed that I wanted a sunroof since I currently have one and enjoy it. In response, he suggested that I cared more about luxury than reliability, which was not accurate. Throughout the conversation, I felt that he repeatedly tried to push me away from what I wanted rather than working toward a solution that fit my needs. He also implied that I would not be able to find what I was looking for at another dealership, which I do not believe to be true. As a customer, I expect to feel heard, respected, and supported in my decisions. There is a clear difference between offering realistic guidance and making a customer feel defeated. Unfortunately, my experience left me feeling the latter. Based on this experience, I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle from this location.

I do not recommend CarSmart. I purchased a Dodge Durango from them and paid cash. The same day I drove the vehicle home, I discovered that the headlights were not working. I contacted the dealership immediately, but they were not helpful and told me to take the vehicle to AutoZone, even though I had just purchased it from them. They also did not provide the title until three days later, and the vehicle was delivered with almost no gas. Overall, the experience was very unprofessional. If you decide to buy a vehicle from CarSmart, I strongly recommend bringing a mechanic with you or having the vehicle thoroughly inspected before purchasing. Be careful and make sure everything is working properly before you leave the lot.
