I rarely take the time to write reviews, but after my experience with Marlon at Capitol Chevrolet, I felt he deserved to be recognized. I had a few questions about my Chevy and stopped by Capitol Chevrolet in Salem, not knowing what to expect. Marlon took the time to answer every single question I had with patience, professionalism, and genuine kindness. He never made me feel rushed or pressured. he simply wanted to make sure I understood everything and felt confident about my vehicle. You can tell Marlon truly cares about helping people, and that kind of customer service is hard to find these days. He went above and beyond to make my experience a great one, and I left feeling informed and appreciated. If you're visiting Capitol Chevrolet, I highly recommend asking for Marlon. He's an absolute asset to the dealership, and because of him, I'll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to my family and friends. Johnny was amazing! I went in to take the husband’s truck to get serviced, and I asked a different salesman what my options were because I was stuck only 1 year into a Subaru car lease that I HATED. The first guy said there wasn’t much I could do, pretty much said I’m stuck. I had a referral from a friend that Johnny “makes magic happen” so I asked for Johnny. Johnny listened to my problem and immediately was optimistic and had so much patience with us while we looked at different vehicles to find what would work for us. Fast forward he got us into the car we LOVE, and at a rate that we could afford. Thanks forever Johnny! If you go here to buy a car, ASK FOR JOHNNY. Marlon was super helpful with my wife and I purchasing our first car. He gave us many recommendations and helped us find a perfect car for us. We purchased a new Chevy Traverse in 2017 from Capitol Chevrolet and overall have been pleased with the vehicle. The purchasing experience was ok. We have since had our traverse serviced at Capitol on a regular basis and we are very good at keeping up with our service. My wife has been in the service department multiple times waiting for them to do a routine oil change, we always call and make an appointment. She has had to wait multiple times even with an appointment much longer then she was told. Communication is not good from the service department as far as letting us know that it was going to take longer then first told to us. This last time July 2026 she waited close to 4 hours for an oil change service with very little communication. Also during this service they said we needed a new engine air filter and a cabin air filter. We decided to change them ourselves due to the high cost to have them change the filters, which by the way is very simple. When I went to change the air filter I found 2 screws missing and one of the screw mounting holes was broken (we have only had Capitol Chevrolet change our air filter since we purchased our Traverse in 2017). My thought would be if you break something on a customers car you should say something, that would be the honest and correct thing to do. So saying all of this just to say we will NO longer be taking our vehicle to Capitol Chevrolet for service and we will never purchase a new/used vehicle from them. There have been a few other issues that have helped us make this decision.
