I recently purchased a car from Mike Roy, and I had a great experience from start to finish. He was friendly, honest, and guided me through the entire process without any pressure or unnecessary upselling. He was straightforward, answered all of my questions, and made the buying experience smooth and stress-free. After I traded in my old vehicle, I realized I had accidentally left an item inside. Mike had already found it and made sure it was stored safely until I could pick it up, which I really appreciated. Overall, I had a very positive car-buying experience, and I highly recommend working with Mike Roy if you're looking for someone who is honest, helpful, and genuinely cares about his customers.

Everyone was great Luis Diaz and Roy took care of us. They let us show the car to my mom in Canby overnight and we took it to our mechanic too. Negotiation was good and simple. Thanks to them for making it easy.

I wish I had never responded to Seaport Auto’s “Negative Equity Rescue Event” advertisement. I traded in a vehicle that I was happy with because I believed the promotion would help improve my financial situation. Instead, I ended up with a vehicle and transaction that have become a constant source of stress, frustration, and financial hardship. I specifically responded to a negative equity promotion because I believed it would help address the approximately $5,000 in negative equity on my trade-in. I even asked questions and sought clarification before moving forward. The signing process was completed electronically on an iPad. During the process, the salesperson moved quickly through the documents and made comments that if I missed signing something, he would just sign it. I was not provided paper copies of the documents to review at the dealership. Instead, I was given a USB drive containing the paperwork. It was not until later, after receiving documentation through the credit union, that I discovered the transaction appeared very different from what I believed I had agreed to. My understanding had been that the negative equity would be forgiven, absorbed, or otherwise handled through the promotion. Instead, I later learned that the full balance remaining on my trade-in vehicle, approximately $24,000, had been rolled into the new loan. That made no sense to me. If I was going to remain responsible for the full amount owed on my prior vehicle, there would have been little reason for me to trade it in rather than keep it and continue making payments on it. I also later learned that the vehicle had undergone repairs prior to my purchase that were never disclosed to me during the sales process. After purchasing the vehicle, I discovered it had previously been at a Jeep dealership for repairs related to a severe oil leak. Had I known about that history, it would have impacted my decision to purchase the vehicle. Shortly after purchasing my 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L, I experienced major mechanical issues, including a severe oil leak. The vehicle was out of service from February 5, 2026 through April 3, 2026. Since then, it has returned to the shop multiple times for recurring lane management and ADAS-related issues, warning lights, brake-related concerns, and ongoing safety issues. The most frustrating part has been the repeated cycle of being told the vehicle was fixed, only to have the same issues return. The vehicle has undergone multiple recalibrations, yet the warnings and problems continue. I also encountered issues during the repair process, including being required to pay for a windshield replacement that I was told was necessary for proper operation and calibration. Later, another service advisor questioned whether the replacement windshield was even the correct OEM windshield for the vehicle. Due to my concerns regarding both the transaction and the vehicle, I filed a complaint with the Oregon Department of Justice Consumer Protection Division. During that process, the investigator informed me that attempts were made to obtain information from Seaport Auto regarding my complaint, but the dealership refused to respond or comply with those requests. What should have been an exciting vehicle purchase has turned into a nightmare involving both the sale itself and the vehicle. Between the concerns surrounding the transaction, the trade-in, the financing, the undisclosed repair history, the repeated repairs, months of downtime, complaints to the manufacturer, a DOJ complaint, and legal involvement, this experience has caused an enormous amount of stress and frustration. I encourage anyone considering purchasing from Seaport Auto to carefully review every document, ask questions in writing, keep copies of all communications, and make sure they fully understand all financing terms before signing.
