I bought a 2011 Chevy Malibu back in 2023, and recently worked with Sam to trade in for a 2018 Chevy Trax. The process was very simple and seamless. Sam was very friendly. Unfortunately, the serpentine belt had come off, but getting it repaired and covered under warranty was easy. They even split the deductible since I’ve only had it for not even a week, so I only ended up paying $250! While I know that isn’t ideal for most, it was a blessing for me because I didn’t have $500 to pay for everything. The customer service rep I talked to named Hannah was really nice as well and sweet. It’s amazing how flexible this company is with working with you. I recommend purchasing a vehicle from their chain. Especially since they cover so many issues under their lifetime powertrain warranty.

. I purchased a vehicle from this dealership about three weeks ago and will update this review as the situation is resolved. On the day of purchase, I drove off the lot with a headlight out and a broken roof antenna. I was told to replace the headlight myself and that the antenna could not be fixed. While not major, it was frustrating immediately after making a large down payment. Within days, I noticed a burning oil smell and contacted the dealership. I was advised to monitor it. Over the next few weeks, additional issues appeared, including a suspected power steering fluid leak (requiring multiple top-offs), fluctuating heat, a squealing cabin fan, low coolant levels, concerns about possible oil/coolant contamination or an oil filter housing issue, and headlights that randomly shut off when set to auto, which is a safety concern. The main reason I chose this dealership was the warranty, and I’m thankful it’s in place. The staff has been responsive so far, and the vehicle is scheduled for diagnosis. I don’t feel I should be responsible for repairs this soon after purchase, but at this point the process is ongoing. *Update* Currently in the shop they are diagnosing my vehicle hopefully this experience is good I’m missing work I have no car I just got it I’m upset. Valentine’s Day is this weekend. I have to be able to get to work every bill I have is due. I am praying to god this all works out fair to me. I will update more as I know I spoke with their advocate and let them know I’d been calling to car lot saying there was an issue from the third day I had gotten it. I knew something was wrong. So here we are we shall see I will update more asap!

I would strongly recommend that no one does business with Advantage Car and Credit. My experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. While Sam, the salesperson, was polite, she did not clearly or accurately explain the warranty. I was not told that the warranty works on a per-component basis, meaning only specific parts are covered—not full repairs. Based on what I was told, I felt comfortable signing—but that turned out to be a mistake. Sam also told me directly that certain decisions were “just a machine,” which made it seem like things were out of her control. However, the information I was given about what I was approved for did not match what I later found out, which added to the confusion and frustration. On their website, they claim their vehicles are “certified,” but that was not my experience at all. Shortly after getting the car, I discovered multiple issues—around 7 to 8 different problems—which raises serious concerns about how these vehicles are inspected or labeled. Shortly after leaving the dealership, my check engine light came on. By the time I made my second payment, I had already reported the issue and started the warranty process. What I was told at the dealership did not match what the warranty actually covered. I even have a witness who can confirm what was said during the sale. Dealing with the service department made things worse. Lisa was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional throughout the process. She canceled my service after I asked questions and involved my parents to better understand what was going on. When we asked for clear answers, we were denied proper explanations, and she even hung up on my father. Hannah in the service department was polite, but unfortunately didn’t seem to have clear answers. Overall, there was a constant lack of communication and accountability—no one seemed to know what was going on or could give straightforward answers to basic questions. Now, after finally getting my vehicle back, my transmission service light came on within days. At this point, I’ve spent over $2,000 on a car I’ve had less than 90 days—and haven’t even been able to drive for a full month. This situation has caused serious stress and financial strain. I’m only 19 years old, and this experience has set me back financially and personally. I even had to cancel plans to move because of these issues. If you do decide to get a car from here, please have it fully inspected by your own trusted mechanic before buying. Do not rely only on their inspection. My ball joints are already going bad, yet the vehicle was sold to me in that condition, and I was told they would only be replaced once they completely failed. I will never do business with this dealership again. If you’re considering buying a vehicle, please go somewhere more reputable—whether that’s a Ford, Toyota, Hyundai dealership, CarMax, or even Dave Says Yes Even Right way.Just please avoid this place.*Update I will be getting a new vehicle soon, but I expect this matter to be resolved appropriately. If necessary, I’m prepared to pursue formal action to recover my losses.Throughout this entire process, I have made multiple attempts to obtain documentation regarding the work done on my vehicle. I have asked the warranty representatives, Lisa and Hannah, for records, but they have not provided any documentation outlining what repairs have been completed.I also attempted to get documentation directly from the mechanic they work with, but I was again denied. I have not received any receipts, repair orders, or detailed reports showing what work has actually been performed on my vehicle. This lack of transparency is unacceptable, especially given the ongoing issues I’ve experienced. I expect full documentation and a clear resolution moving forward ASAP.

They took advantage of someone who had just graduated high school and was in their first year of college. On top of everything else, I failed two college classes because of the constant issues with this vehicle. Between breakdowns, repairs, missed time, and trying to get this situation handled, it affected more than just my transportation. By the grace of God, my mom helped me get a cash car, and that cash car runs better than the vehicle I’ve been paying hundreds of dollars for. I tried to do things the right way. I reported the problems, asked for repairs, tried to use the warranty, and tried multiple times to get help. Instead, I got excuses while being stuck with a vehicle that continued to have problems. I’ve already filed a complaint with the BBB, and I will be sharing my experience on TikTok, Facebook, and Snapchat. People work too hard for their money not to know what they’re getting into. God always makes a way. What’s done in the dark will come to the light.

Do NOT buy a car here. One week after buying car died. Still not working after paying $500 in repairs. They charge a late fee if your pay date is over the weekend and you do not get paid until the next buisness day even after being told it was fine. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THEM!!! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT PEOPLE HERE! EDITED TO ADD SINCE THEY COMMENTED: While the loan is done through someone else (someone they continue to use), the contract and terms were negotiated at the dealership where I was told this would not be an issue BY YOUR SALES PERSON. Furthermore, I have now dumped thousands of dollars in to repair a vehicle I bought less than a year ago. They wonder why people end up in a worse situation than they were already in coming here...its because they sell POS cars and expect a $600+ a month car payment while also throwing $1000s on repairs. Even with their crappy "warranty" they try to sell you (it charges $500 for each repair even if they are similar or caused each other). I am currently responsible for paying on a vehicle that was bought less than a year ago and it isnt even drivable.
