Went to Preferred Autos looking at a specific car. When I pulled in, I decided to drive another vehicle. I ended up driving several vehicles. Preferred stated there was nothing wrong with the vehicle I was feeling the most comfortable with. I ended up buying this vehicle and discovering it has a $9K issue. I am going to get some other smaller things fixed on it but not sure how I am going to manage to get an almost $10K issue fixed. Adam was really quiet during our office talks. I have driven the vehicle since buying it not sure if I am ruining the car more?? This small lot only wants to move units. They do not care about their customer. They could not answer several of my questions about the car. I could have bought this car from a kiosk and received the same customer service.

I didn’t even get the chance to purchase a car before changing my mind. During the 12 minutes we were on the lot, there were at least three men standing around having what appeared to be casual conversations, yet no one took the time to greet or assist us.

Updated Post: STAY CLEAR!!! According to their response below(I thank them greatly), while acknowledging all of what was stated with no response on the integrity of these actions, they doubled down by suggesting an offer of more than DOUBLE what they paid for the vehicle was too low and in their words "wholesale prices". The offers were double what they paid while being 175% of the cars actual market value, and more than likely receiving tax deductions based on the fabricated costs of "refurbishing" these vehicles. They can prices whatever they want, I'm not suggesting that they should be giving out deals. I'm simply here to steer away families who would crumble if they made an investment in one of these vehicles and it didn't last a week because they were lying about the condition of the vehicle and the repairs performed to them. The vehicles passed inspections, I will note that. But that is the concerning part of all this. A buyer wouldn't know until it's too late. Their response shows our offers, but not the market value of the vehicles. They are $5.5k, $6k, and $6.5k, and we were being VERY generous so as to not be insulting. Listed total of $30k, value of $18k, offered $25k. And they said no to that. If you don't see a problem in that, by all means go and buy one. Original post: Buy private and demand records! I'm currently investigating many dealers in the Cincinnati area and hope you all see my reviews on each place as I knock them off our list. We will also be sending to the FTC, AG, and BBB. I traced a car they got in auction that we had inspected pre auction. It needed some work, things that are significant to note when selling to a family, which I mentioned countless times to multiple different sales reps. They won the vehicle for less than $4k. They did nothing to it, yet claimed they did in advertising. However our before and after inspection analytics posted the exact same statistics and not even a single lug nut was turned when abs sensors, rotors, and breaks were needed. Not a drop of anything added which oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, and antifreeze were all needed. I mean they did literally nothing to this vehicle after I saw ad after ad suggesting they had. The cars true value about $5.5k MAX due to the hybrid system alone. They went on to reject multiple offers of up to $8k in cash even though I mentioned often I knew the status of the vehicle. I presented many questions that we already knew the answers to, which were then reiterated from the advertisements. Vehicle was listed for $9k. Realistically, good ethics meant they shouldve been willing to sell at $7k cash max to the average family with cash on hand. Just like the big dealerships, they are all in bed together with the financing boys and facilities that do prepurchase inspections, and you pay for it all. There is too much kickback going into pockets and they laugh at you as you drive away in cars that they know need maintenance. I suggest getting a personal mechanic who is as knowledgeable as you can find. I might be able to come back and add a link once we post the story. I'm certain it will make the news.
