I started the journey online, found a truck I thought I would love, had it shipped, got an appointment, saw it ( loved it ) drove it, discussed terms, bing bang boom. An hour to get my ballsy truck. After care is outstanding as there was an issue with my bed cover, oh, look at that, fixed. BTW, this is the second car we purchased from Carmax. Best experience EVER.

Absolutely best place to buy a car, hands down! No pressure salesmen and very friendly and helpful. I didn't even have to walk into my bank. By far the worst experience buying a vehicle I have ever had. I have now purchased FOUR vehicles from CarMax. 3 being from the Wilmington location. Every experience in Wilmington was great. The Jacksonville is an absolute joke. The manager is a nasty, rude, & slimy woman. She should be fired but that’s just me. From the day we bought the truck to current has been the biggest headache. The day we bought the vehicle the mirrors were broken and damaged. The truck was supposed to go through a quality inspection check both at Wilmington before being transported and once arriving at Jacksonville. It clearly was not. They said they would fully replace the mirrors and can schedule an appointment to do so. After 4 hours of being at the location and driving an hour to get there while nearing 8PM, we were finalizing paperwork and payment when the manager decided to come over and say in a very dull and rude way “While they were cleaning the truck both mirrors fell off you aren’t taking the truck home”. It was a nightmare process just getting to this point due to poor service in this location but to say me and my wife just wasted 4 hours and drove there for nothing was the line for me. I told them that it sounds like a them problem and they should get it fixed asap because I was taking the truck that night. Within 5 minutes they came out and said they fixed the mirrors. After finalizing everything, a mirror fell off the vehicle before even leaving the lot. I didn’t stop for it either. Absolutely not my problem. Fast forward 5 days (I only had the vehicle for 5 days). I brought the truck in for service after being given the runaround about getting a loaner vehicle. I was constantly battling for updates on my vehicle for TWO WEEKS. Not only did the mirrors need to be fixed; but paint correction, a proper detail (mud all over truck inside and out), broken bed lights, a fuel filter that needed to be replaced as well as the housing, & the DPF filter was clogged. So, I was constantly not getting updates for all these simple repairs. I have had full engine replacements done in Wilmington for vehicles in less than a week. Today, I got the call to come get my vehicle and that everything was taken care of. It absolutely was not. There is still mud in the truck and the exterior still has many dirty spots. They replaced one mirror when they were supposed to replace both and one mirror is still loose and shaky. They did NOTHING about the DPF filter and there are now two NEW deep scratches on my passenger side that they tried to cover up with paint correction (wrong color) that look horrible. Do not trust this location whatsoever. When I bought the vehicle it was also not full of diesel or DEF fluid. The salesperson said they would reimburse for the gas once I provide receipts since they did not have diesel available onsite. Upon returning the loaner, they got extremely nasty towards me because I did not fill it up. I told them they could bill me for the gas because I was not going to fill it with all the time and gas they have already had me waste. I also had 2 employees with me at the time also and we were all on the clock. With my truck already running and key in my hand, the lady performed her loaner vehicle inspection (the loaner was a huge POS by the way), she had the nerve to tell me to give her my key back because they can’t accept the loaner without a full tank. I told her with the amount of crap I have had to deal with I was not filling it with gas. She didn’t say anything and went back inside. We all got in my vehicle and while sitting there a man (hardly) came out and tried to intimidate me into getting the loaner filled. I explained that it wasn’t happening and that the service is terrible at this location and the least they could do was to deal with it. I told him the truck I bought wasn’t full when I bought it and he and he proceeded to tell me I was a liar and that they fill the vehicles before sold. There is more I could say but I only have so much before hitting the character limit. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS LOCATION.
