Ask for Angel Escobedo. Seriously. Buying a car has always ranked somewhere between going to the DMV and getting a root canal on my list of favorite activities. Every previous car-buying experience felt like an expensive, stressful game with all the odds stacked against you. I usually walk onto a dealership lot with my guard up and my wallet in witness protection. Then we met Angel. This man somehow got us into our dream car at a price that actually made sense... in this economy. I came in emotionally prepared for the classic dealership side quests: mystery fees, four rounds of "let me talk to my manager," and enough paperwork to qualify as a part-time job. Instead? The whole experience was smooth, transparent, low-pressure, and honestly... kind of a vibe. Angel is personable, knowledgeable, funny, and genuinely seems to care more about helping people than chasing a commission. He answered every question without making us feel rushed, never once pulled any high-pressure sales tactics, and somehow made buying a car feel like hanging out with a friend who just happens to know everything about Toyotas. Larry H. Miller Toyota—you've got a good one. Take care of this guy because employees like Angel are the reason people come back and send their friends and family your way. If you're shopping for a vehicle, do yourself a favor and ask for Angel Escobedo. He completely reset my expectations for what buying a car can be. 11/10. No notes. We'd absolutely buy from him again. P.S. We didn't take a pic of all of us, but see this AI rendition that gives a hilarious general idea of how it went down.

We were in the market for a TRD Pro Sequoia and looked locally in southern NM. There were quite a bit of add ons at some of the dealerships we looked at, driving the price up quite a bit but came across the exact car we were looking for at American at a fair price. We were able to reserve one that was in the build process. We had the pleasure of working with Adam as we got the process started. He kept us up to date on the vehicle as it transitioned through each phase. When the vehicle arrived and was ready to pick up we transitioned to Sebastian who was super helpful and easy to work with. Bianca had all of the financial documents ready to go when we got there, making the process smooth. This was by far the easiest car purchase we have experienced and feel it is because of the staff at American Toyota. They have gained customers for life and we will continue purchasing from them in the future. This dealership is definitely worth the drive and we are extremely pleased with our purchase!

We recently purchased a vehicle from Toyota and had an excellent experience with Desmond Pope and Ethan Fuller. Both gentlemen exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Desmond was knowledgeable, professional, and made the car-buying process easy and enjoyable. Ethan made the finance process smooth, straightforward, and stress-free. Their exceptional customer service and genuine care made all the difference. We highly recommend working with Desmond and Ethan if you’re looking for a great car-buying experience. Thank you both!

All right… I was looking to trade in my Toyota Tacoma for a newer one. I had a really nice 2023, limited trail edition Tacoma. Minimal mileage (55K). Lunar rock color (which is hard to find color in the trail model edition). It had a lot of extras. I was pretty firm on my bottom line for the trade-in and I was pretty firm on what I wanted to pay for a new vehicle. I had to concede on both areas. I got $1000 less than my bottom dollar trade-in price. And I had to pay about $125 more than the maximum I would pay for the vehicle. Now, normally I would’ve stayed firm on my asking for the trade-in as well as bottom dollar on the new vehicle price. But when you look at the total picture, I went about $1125 over what I expected. That’s not too bad. This was a cash deal after trade-in. I thought that would give me some leverage but… the car salesman and their managers are pretty savvy on how to negotiate. You wonder why I’m saying all this? I’m just painting the picture of the buying experience at Larry Miller’s American Toyota. And that experience was a good one. I did not feel cheated. I feel like I got a fair price for my trade-in and they did negotiate the price of the new vehicle so I guess I’m a very happy camper. The only sad thing is I had to let my 2023 trail edition Tacoma go. That was a really nice vehicle and I really liked it. I’m gonna have to get used to this new TRD. It was such an upgrade electronically. I don’t know if I need all this stuff, but I’m gonna figure it out and enjoy it. So, a shout out to Andrew… Remember the advice I gave you buddy. And thanks for helping me get my new truck.

I recently bought a used car from this dealership. I got a post-purchase inspection done of it, and the mechanic I used (Independent Vehicle Service) found that the front struts were leaking and needed to be replaced. This repair would have costed 1200. I called my salesperson and informed him of the issue, and he said he would get into contact with the service manager. It honestly took a few days and I never heard a response, so I decided to just bring the car back to the dealership to have them inspect/fix it. After a few days and me following up (again), the car was finally bought to the services department. My salesperson called me back and informed me that they took a look and there was never actually anything wrong with the car. The leakage Independent Vehicle Services found was "just tire shine" but to be thorough, they did report they looked into the car's pistons as well and they supposedly found no issues. My boyfriend was the one who helped me pick the car up from the dealership since I wasn't in town, and upon getting to the dealership, he noted a new scratch on the passenger rear side of the car that wasn't there when we dropped the car off. Overall, my experience with this dealership has been very poor. My salesperson (Woodrow) has been easy to contact and approachable, so we do appreciate his help throughout all of this. However, the management is very subpar. The very first time I came to this dealership, I didn't buy a car and was just looking. The manager we dealt with (I believe his name was Eric or something of the sorts? He's the one who wears a baseball hat.) was very rude, aggressive, and we didn't appreciate his presence at all. And for me to have several issues after purchasing this car in which I felt like I was getting the run around or where my car literally left the dealership scratched up? Very disappointed in this service and the management of this place. I've attached the before and after photos of the car of when I bought it to the dealership to have them look at the struts.
