I purchased a car from Perfect 10 Auto recently. This was the first time I purchased and car out of state and I was initially a bit nervous about it, and I immediately felt more confident and relaxed as I spoke to the owner Keith. Keith went above and beyond to answer all my questions, even having his mechanic look up some information I requested. And, I would add that everyone I interacted with was an absolute pleasure. Ashlee was amazing with all the paperwork and walking me through the process, payment, etc.. I will also add that they even set up the deliver of the car to my house and everything was on point as planned. My boyfriend and I came up here 3 times to test thier BMW 2018 530e Xdrive. It had low miles around 66k and its a hybrid plug in system. When we first were giving it a test drive the interior was in great condition everything was working but the battery was completely dead so we did normal tests on everything we could and since they were closing soon we had left and told them we'd be back the next day. The next morning I had both texted and called to ask ask them to put the car on the charger so we could come back and test it but when we got there the battery was only charged up to 6% and said that it still needed about 10 hours for a full charge however it’s only supposed to take a maximum of 8 hours to fully charge in the first place. We asked to come back again the next day and test it with the battery fully charged and was told that would be fine. When we got there we were immediately told we could not test out the car at all anymore after driving an hour to get there for the third time and were told it says 100% and was fine and that the hybrid system doesn’t make a difference. however without the hybrid system the car would have 110 less hp. Not only did they not know what they were talking about it seems as if they knew there was a problem with the battery and that’s why they completely refused to let us test drive the car. They agreed to let us sit in the car and that’s it and after running the diagnostics using the hidden service menu we discovered that the battery had 0.066kWh when a battery with healthy degradation for this mileage should be sitting at 5.8-6.5kWH. They have this car priced at 19k which is where it would be priced in perfect condition however a replacement battery can cost anywhere from 2500 all the way up to 10k. This was only one of several issues I found when doing research and evaluating the car fax. The car was priced as if it was in perfect condition when not only is the hybrid system itself completely useless, it needs a new 12volt battery as the current one has been recharged 5 times and never replaced, the a/c refrigerant has been charged 3 times which is a completely sealed system that shouldn’t need to be recharged incidating a leak which is another very expensive fix, and there has been 8 times that the wheels have been replaced balanced or aligned 5 of which were in one year so there’s clearly something wrong with the suspension. so be careful and do your research.
