Todd, at Toms Trucks was a pleasure to deal with. He was nice and respectful. He was never pushy. He knows purchasing a vehicle can be a tough decision. Overall this made for a great experience. I would highly recommend anyone to come here for a truck.
My brother and I met with Dewey and told him what we were looking for and how much my brother could spend. He found a very nice 2016 Ford F159 Blue truck that met all the criteria he was looking for. Dewey was so friendly and so helpful which you dont find that today when shopping for a vehicle. We were so relaxed and talked like we have been friends for a long time. Jacob was also helpful and friendly on the Financial end of the deal. My brother is just so happy and relieved to finally find a truck after nearly a year with no transportation. Thank you Dewey and Jacob for all your help!! If we ever need to find a vehicle, we will be back even tho we live 2 hours away. I highly recommend Tom's Trucks in Des Moinse off University Ave . You guys ROCK!!! Tamny Lathrop Allen Wilson
I had a great experience at Tom’s Trucks! The entire process was smooth from start to finish. I felt that I was in good hands with Eric. He was especially helpful and friendly in explaining the process as a first time buyer. Would recommend!
They are awesome people to work with, they we're very patient with me I just test drove several trucks and picked out the right one they're awesome guys to work with I highly recommend if you're looking for a car or a truck to stop by one of Tom's lots and see what he has Edit review_ so a few months after buying this truck 2019 GMC Sierra elevation I started having problems and having the stable track warning light pop up after looking into it it's the brake positioning sensor. And I can only assume that Tom's didn't want to spend the $93.04 and to have it reflashed for the software for a brake positioning switch so instead they JB welded the one that was in there and finagled it to where it would work. So I guess what I have to say is if you buy a vehicle from these people you might want to take it to your mechanic and have it checked out have a scan tool put on it and everything I learned my lesson I'm still happy with the truck even though I've had to put $1,200 in it since I bought it. But if I was to ever buy a truck from this place again which I probably would never buy a truck from Tom's again. But if I did it would be fully 100% checked out by a mechanic before I put any kind of money on it
If I could give 0 stars it would be too many. Looking for a truck for my son’s first vehicle. As a single mom I needed something that wasn’t crazy expensive but also reliable. I had heard good things about this place so I decided to check it out with my son. We saw something we really liked. Told the salesperson who the truck was for and my situation. He said this would be a perfect truck for him. Low miles and very well taken care of. It had been in a very minor accident in the past. Asked if it would be ok to have my mechanic come check it out the next day. My mechanic met me there the next day. Was given the keys by the salesman and he left. He went through the truck and when he checked under the truck he noticed on one side the shock was hitting the frame. On the other side there was about 3 fingers width between the shock and the frame. He looked at it from the side and noticed the frame was bent. He said he would not even test drive it. It was dangerous to drive and needed to be totaled. When we went to take the keys back to them I told them what he noticed and my mechanic said it shouldn’t be sold as it’s not safe. Not impressed. They were ok with selling this truck knowing a 14 year old would be driving it.
