Iowa Used Car Supercenter

I saw a pre-owned vehicle on Cars.Com that exactly fit my specifications. It was located in Cedar Rapids, at McGrath Iowa Used Car Supercenter. I called to check its availability and was put in touch with Cody M, who was quick to respond to my questions via text and phone call. He also sent me videos with close details, pointing out a few small blemishes on the car, which was important since Cedar Rapids is 4 hours from my home. Cody explained the car could be shipped to me to save me the drive--in fact, they do that all the time-- but I wanted to drive the car in person, and we have some familiarity with the Iowa City area. (Go Hawks!) Going to McGrath Iowa Used Car Supercenter was absolutely worth the trip! Cody M. is a people-person who made us feel very comfortable. He expertly organized all parts of the buying experience (test drive, trade evaluation, purchasing, paper-signing, car detailing & preparation) to minimize our wait time. It was an easy-breezy purchase: the car was as-advertised, the price was as-marked, and the trade-in value was fair. There were no forceful upsells or delays. When we walked out of the business office, the car was pristine, with a full tank of gas, ready for a roadtrip. Both Cody and JP in the business office are very competent, pleasant, and respectful, providing good information without high-pressure sales tactics. I am so glad we made the trip to Cedar Rapids! We have bought plenty of cars over the years, and this experience was SO PLEASANT! I can't say enough good things about Cody, JP, and the several nice employees we bumped elbows with at McGrath Iowa Used Car Center. This was a TOP-NOTCH buying experience! DEVON CANTY!!!! that’s your man! When you pull into any car lot you are immediately rushed by salesman that try to sell a car that doesn’t even fit your needs. I felt like he was genuinely there to HELP me get in the car the fits me best and suits my needs. Devon’s service was so great that he immediately the next day got my brothers car swapped out as well! In this whole process it was very fluent and went with the flow. He made the whole process one of the easiest I have ever had.

Great place to buy a car. Dustin Austin was awesome to work with and took care of all our needs. He found us the perfect vehicle and got us a great price. Thank you to Dustin and McGrath dealership. I will definitely be back the next time we are in need of a vehicle.

Called us the day after we brought the car home and said we were $1000 short, then proceeded to accuse us of stealing money back from them. We had already counted the money with their finance guy and signed all the papers.

Austyn Farmer was incredibly unprofessional. He informed me that I had been approved for a car and that all I needed to do was bring $1,500 and my trade-in. However, I decided to use my brother as a co-signer to avoid putting down a large amount of money upfront. As we arrived, he wasted two hours of our time, gave us the runaround, and claimed that they had to redo the application. He promised to call me on Monday, but it’s now Friday, and he hasn’t made a single call or checked in on us. To make matters worse, he lost my brother’s ID and claimed that he had given it back. He even searched everywhere for it but couldn’t find it. I felt that he should have reimbursed my brother for the ID, especially since he now has to wait until August 10 to get a new one. Yesterday, someone from sales texted me to check in on the situation. I told them what had happened, but they never responded. This place is extremely unprofessional, and I would never recommend it or even consider going back to get a car from them.
