I've bought 5 or 6 cars from here, I've been to allot of car lots over the years and you can't find like I haven't found a more honest and fair place to deal with. They took the time to tell you the truth about everything they knew about every vehicle we asked about & just to mention I was shopping with my 18yr son, so that in itself was fun. To the point these guys are great. He got a great deal and a great little car a 2013 Ford fusion that was beautiful and clean. He loves it! You'll love choosing going there yourself.

So life through my little family a curveball and my car started to act funny, and everyone knows you gotta work to keep ahead and well when your car gives out on you it makes you either late to work or you cant go at all. Anyways because my car kept messing up my husband and I decided to go ahead and get another car. So I called up Decatur auto sales on Kentucky avenue and spoke with a very lovely lady who was very nice, courteous and very friendly. She told me what I needed to do to start the process. After we did the application we met Gary, I had explained to him I was very low on cash due to having to pay rent, groceries, and every day necessities. He was able to work with me. Not only did he work with me I was able to trade in my car that I was having trouble with... Side note.. one of my friends offered me a sum for my car but Gary double the offer plus some. He was able to get me into the perfect car, and the payment surprisingly are not that expensive. He will tell you the truth even if you don't like it. Every person that my husband and I came into contact with at the car lot was very friendly, knowledgeable, and very patient. Especially Gary he was very patient with me because I was a hot mess stressed out over a car. I just didn't want to miss a day of work. I definitely recommend Decatur auto sales to anyone. Whether it's your first time buying or your 5th time buying. Gary is a very nice guy. I will admit I have had problems with the truck I bought there but he was very helpful and even offered to pay part of the mechanics bill. Well the mechanic he sent me to was a crook which was not his fault. He didn't know this guy was ripping people off but when I contacted Gary again and told him the mechanic messed my truck more than what he fixed Gary referred me to someone else that will do it right and I was quoted a fair price from this mechanic this time. Gary has been very helpful and if u have a problem with something u got here he will do everything he can to make it right. He is an honest car salesman which u can not find these days. I will recommend anyone to go to him. All these bad reviews are just disgruntled buyers that probably couldn't make their car note and is just trying to push it off on him. If u approach Gary with a friendly attitude and not rude to him he will help u in any way he can. Good guy and good dealer.

At first experience was great bought two cars at a buy here pay here arrangement Chevy Monte Carlo and Honda Accord had problem with Accord traded in for a civic at finance then got an equinox great right.however brakes went bad on civic can't drive sitting at home still paying on car called to see bout getting someone to fix for me but mechanic always busy financing you pay more than car worth for one over 200000 miles just seems like no customer service at all went to ray skillman was offered a 2022 Honda crv with 98000 for the exact price and payment that I am paying for the equinox. Thought I had a good used car dealer but the service is crap still looking to get brakes fixed on civic and all in all greatly disappointed

Extremely rude Service! I simply called to inquire about a truck. The person who answered the phone in mid conversation of trying to set up a time through the week to come look at it, before I could get a word out on questions about the vehicle its self, I was extremely rudely and blatantly interrupted, cut off, and hung up on. Very unprofessional service. Not worth the trip or time. Based on reviews and personal experience in contacting them. If you’re going to be treated in that manner in just inquiring, it’s not worth making the trip or your personal time. I was very serious about purchasing and now I’m not remotely interested in messing with them at all. They will not be getting any business from me! Not the way to run a business! I would understand if I was being rude someone might react that way, but I was nicely just asking questions. Even then you’re running a business trying to make sales. You should still remain professional. Based on pictures and Street view of the place it looks like a side scrap yard anyway, I was nervous on that part so thank you for the clarification of not wasting my time.
