I had a great experience with this car lot from start to finish. They were very helpful and took the time to actually work with me instead of making the process stressful. You don’t need perfect credit or a huge down payment to get approved, which was a big relief. They really work with you on payments as long as you communicate and stay honest. The manager was very straightforward and honest, which I truly appreciated. There were no games or surprises, and everything was explained clearly. I drove off the same day in a vehicle, and even later on down the line, I haven’t had any issues with the car. Overall, great people, great business, and a smooth experience. I would definitely recommend them.

I purchased a vehicle from Honest Abe Auto Sales on February 23. Within about 5 days the vehicle began experiencing serious electrical issues, including an I-Key system error, and eventually became inoperable. I had the vehicle scanned and was informed there were deeper electrical/ECM issues. I contacted the dealership multiple times to resolve the situation and requested a refund due to the vehicle failing almost immediately after purchase. Communication became very difficult, and my calls and emails have largely gone unanswered. At one point I was told the dealership would retrieve the vehicle, and I even received an early morning call from someone who appeared to be coordinating a tow, but the car has still not been picked up. I am currently working through the proper channels to resolve the situation. I hope the dealership chooses to address this matter fairly and communicate with customers when issues arise, especially when a vehicle becomes inoperable so soon after purchase.
