Hello , I recently paid off my vehicle from Curtis in Avon.I love my SUV. Do I feel that a major issue should have been taken care of before my purchase absolutely. Would I refer someone to purchase a vehicle from them yes. I worked with Tyler who is a great guy , he worked hard to get me in the vehicle that I wanted.

On July 9, 2026, I purchased a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu from Curtis Auto on West Washington Street. I made a $2,000 down payment, and the vehicle came with a 1,000-mile warranty. I left Curtis Auto around 7:00 p.m. Approximately two hours after purchasing the vehicle, it shut off while I was driving. At the time, I did not think much of it because the car started back up, and I did not experience any additional issues that evening. On Friday, July 10, 2026, I drove to Gary, Indiana, to visit family. During that trip, the vehicle began shutting off several times while I was driving. Since Curtis Auto was closed, I contacted the dealership on Saturday, July 11, 2026, and spoke with Jordan. I explained the problems I was having, and he instructed me to bring the vehicle back so they could inspect it and determine what was causing the issue. On Wednesday, July 15, 2026, I received a call around 3:00 p.m. informing me that my vehicle was ready to be picked up. After getting off work, I arrived at Curtis Auto at approximately 3:30 p.m. However, at about 4:30 p.m.—only about an hour after leaving the dealership—the vehicle failed again while I was driving. The car stopped and even began rolling backward, which led me to believe the transmission was malfunctioning. I immediately contacted Curtis Auto. Once again, I was told to bring the vehicle back so they could try to determine what was wrong. During that conversation, Jordan stated that if they could not identify or repair the problem, they would consider allowing me to exchange the vehicle for another one or refund my $2,000 down payment. At this point, I had only been in possession of the vehicle for approximately 48 hours before experiencing repeated, serious mechanical problems. The vehicle has shut off multiple times while I was driving, creating an extremely dangerous situation that could have resulted in serious injury or death. I explained my safety concerns to Jordan and told him that I no longer feel safe driving this vehicle. Because of these repeated mechanical failures and the safety risk they have created, I am requesting that Curtis Auto either provide me with another reliable vehicle or refund my $2,000 down payment. I believe this is a fair resolution given the circumstances.

After having a car for a year and a half my hours changed and my job changed they knew that the payment was coming and a repo so after that, I called to see how much would it cost to get it back? They want me to pay the rest of the balance. The tow truck driver didn’t even know how to put the car on a flatbed, right the car was sliding. The wheels were just not turning right and y’all just seen a flatbed that they came and got it on the flatbed looked like it couldn’t carry itself. After you halfway done with your car payment, they come Ian’s repo that’s real sad.
