Working with her was truly a great experience from start to finish. Ashley was incredibly responsive, honest, and attentive throughout the entire process. She sent detailed photos and information, answered every question quickly, and made sure I felt completely confident purchasing the car sight unseen. She handled all the shipping arrangements with professionalism, and the Beetle arrived exactly as promised—beautiful, and ready to go. We purchased a 2019 BMW X3 from Tropical Autom Sales and have to say that in the years of dealing with car dealership they have to be the most honest and up from people I have ever dealt with. They had no problem with me taking it to my mechanic to have it checked out. They even dropped off to them. I would recommend them highly. You need to add them to your list when looking for a car. I recently bought a 2019 Toyota RAV4 from TROPICAL AUTO SALES remotely out of Austin, Tx. I operate a small fleet of vehicles for business and this particular vehicle fit exactly what was needed. I made contact with Tropical Auto Sales via one of their salesman SEBASTIAN. He and I communicated over a week regarding the price, condition and shipping of this Toyota. I knew the vehicle had previously been in an accident and I was assured the repair was made along with the inspections that are supposedly done every time a vehicle comes in. I made sure Tropical received the payment wire and provided my own shipping to Austin as agreed. The vehicle arrives to Austin and the condition of the vehicle was EXTREMELY MISREPRESENTED!! Hail damage on the driver side front and rear windows/doors smh. Hail damage on the roof of the vehicle. Missing interior engine cover pieces. One wheel well missing entirely and the other damaged. It is my fault for not asking the salesman for better, more detailed & closer pics. All of his pics were distanced just far enough to where this damage wasn’t visible. He never mentioned the wheel wells needing to be replaced. He never mentioned the lower bumper not being on the car, nor did he mention the missing engine cover pieces. Upon calling the dealership (calmly initially) and being told the manager was busy, I said I’d hold. When the phone disconnected, I called again and was told the same manager was on a test drive for the next 30 min. I again said I’d hold. The phone disconnected again. I called back & eventually spoke with a gentleman who I later was told was the owner. After explaining my situation, I was told “it’s only a $50 wheel well” and “well you bought a used car”. Lol well.. you sell them! When I pushed back to explain it doesn’t matter what type of car it is and that I should have been made aware of the hail damage (all without letting him interrupt me).. the person who I later was told is the OWNER hung up in my face. I immediately called back angrily and had adult words with who I later found out was the OWNER. I then hung up on him assuming I was talking to a salesman that wasn’t involved in my transaction. After calling back to try and finally reach the elusive manager, the phone was picked up & without a word said, I was immediately put on hold. And I sat there for a handful of minutes before the elusive manager appeared sooner from his 30 minute test drive. I asked him if he agreed that hail damage would be something necessary to disclose to a remote buyer & if the bumper missing pieces was something that should have been communicated .. he wouldn’t directly answer either question. He also blamed the shipper smh. When I held his feet to the subject matter he deflected asking if I’d let him talk. He started to talk and still didn’t answer either question. At that point when I tried to speak, he began to cut me off which I brought to his attention. He agreed to mail me a wheel well. Didn’t ask for any details. Didn’t ask for any photos. Didn’t ask my name. Never addressed the hail damage besides saying there’s nothing he can do it’s a used car. Maybe it never crossed his mind that a customer being well informed is part of the buying process. The lack of transparency is troubling. The gaslighting responses were extremely unprofessional. SEBASTIAN pretending to care about making the remote buying process as secure & safe as possible was misleading. These people didn’t tell me the full truth. They were defensive when criticized & held accountable to THE DEAL THAT WAS AGREED UPON. SEBASTIAN ghosted me completely which led to me calling the dealership in the first place… I sent my money as agreed. $21k CASH... Based on the information I was given!! Ask I sought to do was make a professional transaction. This will be the last time I ever buy a vehicle remotely. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP REMOTELY! EVERYTHING WRITTEN HERE IS 100% FACTS. I'D WELCOME ANYONE FROM TROPICAL TO REFUTE THIS! I HAVE SCREENSHOTS AND DOCUMENTATION OF EVERYTHING!
