Bought several vehicles from MGM plus I sold cars for a major brand and can honestly say what I like about them: 1) zero pressure, 2) followed through on ‘promises’ made before the sale, and 3) Kyle is awesome. At my request , he recommend me to several local shops for repairs that were reasonably priced and easy to deal with. All used vehicle come with some risk…but I’ve never had a vehicle I purchased from them fail on me. I expect to make some repairs after the sale.
I haven't purchased a vehicle here but reading rhe comments has made me eliminate this place for any vehicles they have. I do want to point something as well, as advice, since there was me tonight of these issues. If a dealer says they jabe no idea what tje condition of the drivetrain is (engine/transmission/differential), wall away immediately. Dealer DO know what the mechanical condition is, they just either omit details or fabricate the truth. Unfortunately, the sates of alabama is a buyer beware state, meaning the law favors dealers and you assume the risk when you purchase a car. I've been shopping for a car for six months now, and in the south, the Bible belt, ive run into more dishonest, rude, and downright nasty people in my pursuit for a vehicle. These people will tell you anything to sell you a car, doesnt matter what's wrong with it, how dangerous it is, or whether or not it suites you. Dont out yourself in a situation where the only pave to turn to are these vampires, who will legally swindle you.
Went by on a Saturday. We were looking to purchase a car for my daughter before she returned to college. We were going to make a cash purchase. We spoke with Kyle and off the bat he seemed less interested in what we had to offer. He even informed us that he didn’t “really make money from cash purchases “ so it really wouldn’t benefit him. He was more interested in someone that would finance the car. My daughter was REALLY excited about the car. When we left he informed us that he would reach back out to us after he spoke with his boss. We never heard from Kyle until we called him and then he informed us that he had people looking to finance the vehicle so he would let us know. So pretty much as he mentioned before, he wasn’t interested in a cash purchase. To me a buy is a buy but I guess with sales he wasn’t interested focused on himself and not the consumer. Whatever works best for HIM but I definitely would not be back or recommend. We ended up finding a great dealership, Americars in the Birmingham area, and actually got my daughter an even better vehicle, a 2025 Honda to be exact instead of the older model that needed all new tires at their establishment. So I’m actually thankful that God redirected our path!
If I could give 0 stars I would. In 2025 I purchased a 2017 GMC Yukon from MGM AUTO BROKERS and two days after I purchased the vehicle the transmission went completely out without warning. I called and spoke with the sales person Kyle who I purchased the vehicle from originally and he had a horrible attitude. Told me they wouldn’t have known the transmission would go out. I asked could I bring the vehicle back for something else and he said no but he could send me $500 on a 3700 bill. In the end I got my truck fixed. Not even 6 months later the alternator, catalytic converter and o2 sensor went out. Another headache! Thankfully I have means to pay for the repairs. Upon purchasing the vehicle it was written up that they had to send me a key fob because the one I got from them didn’t have any buttons. Which I had no problem with because I know where the keys were. During our conversation one month ago I mentioned that I never got the key fob and it was sent two weeks later. Yesterday I lost my original key and called a locksmith to program the one that was sent to me and the locksmith said it was not working and I needed to send it back to were I ordered it from. I told the locksmith the dealership ordered it and I would call to see if they could get another one ordered. I called and spoke with Kyle Carpenter and he called me a liar because I mistakenly said I took my vehicle to the dealership and the said my key fob was faulty. Kyle told me a dealership could not do it, I would have to call a locksmith which in fact a locksmith traveled an hour to get to my house to program the key fob. He called me a liar and said he will not send me another key even after I offered to pay the shipping fees. I understand unforeseen issues and I do have a warranty but as we know warranties do not cover all expenses. Very rude and unprofessional!! BUYERS BEWARE!!
Completely unprofessional. Was wiling to sell a car with bad tires, messed up bumper, and oil spilled all over the engine and cleaned the oil off with a WATER BOTTLE and RAG.. they should not be selling cars. Couldn't even properly inspect the car as provided. Didn't even double check to make sure the car was presentable, their service department left the cap of the oil for the engine block completely off. They even even drove it to the lot with the cap off and tires bald. Just wanted to make a quick buck to unsuspecting people. They were willing to sell this to my teen sister. Completely over-priced as well. 2-3k over the price limit with the issues presented. They were willing to take an $800 down payment but after we presented these issues to them, we apparently were asking "too many questions" and they rescinded the offer and stated that now all their cars on the lot would suddenly be $2100 down. We walked off the lot. The GM knew they were selling a bad car. Do not get your cars from these people.
