Terry Bison Ranch Resort

Must do for kids. Very nice train tour where you will see various farm animals like horses, peacocks, cows AND BISONS. You will experience zero distance with Bisons by feeding them while in the train. The train completely stops for around 20 mins and you can feed those beasts ($10/ pack) from the souvenir/ ticket shop. Kids were thrilled and was really a highlight in our trip. Thank you Luke for the smooth train ride and entertaining narration. Highly recommended.

This is our 3rd visit over the years. 1st visit with the grandkids. It was a huge hit with them. 3 generations had a great time. They have a great setup for visitors to view and interact with the animals. My family really enjoyed themselves. When we asked our grandkids what was the best part of our vacation, they both said seeing the buffalo. The ranch and the staff were wonderful. Missed eating in the restaurant, but it happened to be closed for this visit.

Thought id give my own review about the ranch. It's great. I noticed a lot of reviews complaining about prices, but they forgot to add that walking around the ranch and seeing all the animals is completely free! I never got that option at a zoo lol. The only other negative I see is about staffing not giving customers enough attention. Which similarly to the price reviews, they seem to forget that this is an actual ranch. It's not just a spot to sell activities. It is a fully functional and in operation ranch. Sometimes bison will need to be rounded up. Sometimes they'll need to attend a pressing matter. Be patient people, you're visiting a ranch, its meant to be a place to slow down and enjoy. The staff work hard. My kids and wife love the ranch and I couldn't recommend it more.

We had a nice time here. It's an interesting place for sure. The staff was kind and we really enjoyed feeding the Bison on the train ride. There were treats provided free of charge on the train to feed the Bison which was awesome. We did not stay at the resort, but the place has a rustic feel to it. There are clean showers available in the restrooms of the main gift shop building. There are lots of farm animals and great picture taking spots.

We came last year and it was so fun! We went again this morning and I’m not sure what was going on, but it was terrible. There was no narration on the train whatsoever. The WY sign wasn’t even there. Even when we got to the Buffalo, no one said a word The guy just stopped the train and sat in a chair and stared at us. The train was full, everyone had to figure out what to do. People in the gift shop were odd and a bit offputting. Definitely a huge disappointment. At least the buffalo were hungry.
