From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by Matt, who took the time to give me all the information I needed about the car I was interested in. He was honest, upfront, and made sure I truly understood everything instead of just trying to make a sale. I really appreciated how educational and transparent he was throughout the process. Once I decided to move forward with the purchase, I also had the chance to work with David, who made the finance process incredibly smooth. He explained everything in detail, answered all my questions, and made the entire experience stress-free. Thanks to Matt and David, my experience at Planet Auto was extremely positive. I’ll definitely be back in the future and will be recommending them to friends and family. They didn’t have my new charger that day I bought a Tesla so one of them brought it to my house and helped me set up my phone app to connect to my Tesla. Great company for sure!

I stopped by Planet Auto Sales in Orem to take a few photos of a McLaren 720S they had out front. The staff was incredibly friendly and gave me permission without hesitation, even though I wasn’t there to buy anything. The owner was especially kind and went out of his way to start the car so I could get better shots. It was a genuinely great experience, and I was impressed by how welcoming and accommodating everyone was. Excellent service and a great atmosphere — I’d definitely recommend them based on how well they treated someone who wasn’t even a customer.

This was one of the most disappointing car-buying experiences I’ve had. The sales process was “no pressure,” but the dealership refused to negotiate at all despite cosmetic damage and a less-than-perfect CarFax. Before buying, I pointed out a missing windshield trim piece, and they told me they wouldn’t do anything about it even though it’s only about a $75-$100 part. They also said they would try to remove the cigarette smoke smell before pickup, but when I returned three days later the smell was worse and it didn’t appear the car had been cleaned at all. The same plastic and dirt from my test drive were still in the car. Basic prep items were also ignored. The washer fluid was completely empty, all three windshield wipers were worn out, and the vehicle showed only 12 miles of fuel range when I picked it up. After asking twice they gave me a $20 Maverik gift card, which barely added a quarter tank. Shortly after getting the car home I discovered additional issues: The key provided is an aftermarket Amazon key and the emergency key isn’t even cut. The car now shows key connection errors and a replacement OEM key costs $425+ (Just for one). A broken plastic cover and missing clips in the engine bay. The front grille isn’t clipped in at all from the top. The final paperwork also included several unexpected fees, including VTR, GAP (even though I didn’t finance through them), a $700 doc fee, and a mandatory prep fee—despite the car being extremely dirty when I picked it up. Overall the experience felt careless and disappointing. I would strongly recommend carefully inspecting the vehicle and reviewing every line of paperwork before purchasing here. EDIT: Owner reached out and made things right and apologized for things that were missed on their end like windshield wipers, fluid, missing parts, and non-OEM key. Super nice guy and I'm glad he did what was right. Just because of Jared, I would go back here and buy another car, but it would be through him directly. I appreciate Jared taking time out of his day from running a business to help make things right and make sure I was taken care of.

Don't do it. My husband and I purchased a car that was advertised as accident-free. After a minor collision, pre-existing damage to the frame, front end, and other components was discovered. There was even bolts missing and electrical tape holding parts of the vehicle together. The repair estimate was over $6,000. We attempted multiple time to have Planet Auto address the issue and ultimately ended up suing them. Instead of resolving the matter, they hired a lawyer and took the case to trial despite multiple settlement attempts. We did not succeed at trial, but I'll let you determine what you think of their business practices based on those facts. We were also offered a gas gift card in exchange for leaving a review at the time of purchase, so you may wish to consider that as you evaluate other reviews.
