At age 67, I would rather have a root canal than deal with aggressive, deceptive and high pressure sales people like I have encountered over the years. I have had many years of less than pleasant car buying experiences until I met Ana at Carmax in Murfreesboro TN. Her patience, sincerity, honesty, and world class customer service is exceptional. She told me after she helped my wife find the right SUV for our family at one of their dealerships in Indiana and got it transferred to Murfreesboro that she was brand new. She made the entire car buying process completely enjoyable and seamless. She is supported by a great team and Carmax in Murfreesboro TN is outstanding and greatly appreciated. We highly recommend them and will definitely be long term customers.

Easy to get a quote online, brought my car in the next day, after inspection the quote didnt change, I was in and out the Carmax center within an hour. Pleasant ,polite and efficient experience. Dealership offered at least 1/3 less... no thank you! glad we chose Carmax.

I have since owned my vehicle for a few months now, and this place doesnt dissapoint! All photos were extremely accurate, the state of the vehicle was accurate, and the test drive alone already had me convinced to buy in the moment. Bryan Franklin was the consultant that helped me out, and I felt extremely welcomed from the moment I walked through that door.

Can you say highway robbery? I bought a used vehicle from CarMax. My credit was good, not great. I was told that there were no other options, I could only finance through Exeter Finance. I really needed a vehicle and I did the deal and financed the used vehicle through Exeter Finance at CarMax. I had fair or good credit, not poor. My previous vehicle I paid off and drove it for years. I was not a high risk of not paying off a vehicle and did not deserve to be considered high risk or poor credit. What a ripoff. Exeter charging 26+% interest. So, making high payments only to have basically $100 dollars going towards the principle as Exeter keeps 3/4 of the interest which was roughly $300+ of the $440+ dollar monthly payment. The first year only $1100 was put towards the principle and Exeter kept the rest. At that rate it would have taken me approximately 15 years to pay off a 10 year old vehicle with only $1000-$1100 paid on the principle. All for a used older 10 year old vehicle which was not in perfect condition. The vehicle will have high mileage, and be a piece of junk by the time it’s paid off. If I could do it all over I would not have gone to CarMax and would have purchased a new or newer vehicle somewhere else and probably would have had a smaller monthly payment with a better interest rate and it would have been on a new or newer vehicle with a good warranty. Highway robbery is 26+% interest for a used 10 year old vehicle. That’s really looking out for your customers. Shame on you CarMax. Update: A warning to all future CarMax customers. Although I appreciate the (owner) reviewing and offering to look further into it, but I am now done with Exeter Finance and CarMax. Further, when I went to pay off the vehicle I had to make $3000 payments (daily limit) each day along with more interest and the transaction fees just so Exeter could get a little more daily interest and transaction fees for several days until I paid off the vehicle. If you don’t mind paying through your nose for a used vehicle at new vehicle prices (with high interest rates you will be paying for a new car price, but getting a used vehicle from CarMax) If you are okay with that then by all means purchase from CarMax. Otherwise, buyer beware.
