I am 20 years old and just bought my first vehicle from here, I bought a 2013 Chevy Malibu and within 2-3 weeks of having it my engine light popped on and went into limp mode. It’s taken months to figure out what was wrong with it. I had to replace the alternator, timing chain, camshaft sensor, oil pressure sensor, battery, etc. after replacing the timing chain the car still ran terribly. I took it to a shop and learned I needed a whole new engine so instead of initially paying $6000 for this vehicle I’ve had to tack on another $4-5000 onto my loan in order to have it in working condition. This place has been nothing but difficult, idk how they haven’t been shut down yet. It took them 3-4 months to get me my title and their communication was SHIT. They left me for an entire weekend with no title and my temp tags expired. They have left me stuck fixing this car I shouldn’t need to fix.used cars come with problems but I’ve dumped thousands more into it than I should’ve needed to. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT buy here.

I purchased a 2018 Ford Escape from J & R Auto Sales on March 24, 2026. After approximately 80 miles of use, the vehicle displayed a “Service Transmission Now” warning, went into limp mode, and had to be inspected. An independent mechanic diagnosed a failed transmission requiring replacement and noted that the transmission fluid was black/burnt, which I was told would not normally occur from approximately 80 miles of driving. After I contacted J & R Auto Sales, I was instructed to take the vehicle to the shop they directed me to. That shop also documented serious transmission problems, including harsh shifting, failed shifts, loss of 4th gear when warm, and “bad transmission.” I attempted to resolve the matter directly and professionally. I sent written documentation, requested the dealership’s records, and asked for a fair resolution such as repair coverage, unwinding the sale, replacement, or another reasonable proposal. I also asked for written clarification regarding warranties or service contracts because, during the sale, I was told the dealership did not have, sell, or offer warranties or additional warranties. Instead of a clear response, I received a runaround. I was directed to send information to a specific contact/email, then later, when I followed up, I was told that a person by that name did not work there. I was also told there was no general email and that “everybody’s kind of got their own.” As of this review, I have not received a meaningful written response or resolution. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution anyone considering buying from J & R Auto Sales to get every representation in writing before purchase, verify the FTC Buyers Guide/window sticker, ask for all inspection and reconditioning records, confirm any warranty or service-contract options in writing, and have the vehicle independently inspected before signing anything. I cannot recommend this dealership based on how my situation has been handled.

‼️⚠️DO NOT BUY HERE⚠️‼️This place seriously screwed me over. I’m 19 and buying my first truck, and they totally took advantage of that. They sold me a 2012 Ram 1500 with 4X4 on it and never told me the four-wheel drive was completely dead. I didn’t even find out until I was stuck in a blizzard for HOURS, freezing, because the front tires wouldn’t even move. They literally put my safety at risk. I tried calling about my title and they said they’d call me back and never did. And it’s been over 30 days and I still don’t have my title Then they just ignored me and took the listing down like they’re hiding something. That’s shady as hell. If you’re young or a first-time buyer, DO NOT come here. They will lie to your face, sell you broken stuff, and then disappear when you need help. Worst experience ever.

Just bought a car from them and now I am having issues with this vehicle. I understand it’s a used vehicle but there’s no warranty behind their vehicles especially when you buy it within the first day your check engine light comes on. Been trying to reach out to them for over a week now and they refuse to pick up the phone or answer me so these is one of the place. I would definitely not recommend buying a car.
