Sweetgrass Mercantile

Love this cutesy vendor mall. Thrift store is all the way in the back and has all kinds of good things! Prices were affordable. I got a chocolate chip sourdough cookie from the salt water marsh and honey hush that things is delicious… so good I forgot to snap a picture!!! Also let me say the garden center is out of the word and the sweet lady running it was so nice and knowledgeable!! Loved our first visit there!

Sweetgrass Ace Hardware/Mercantile is much more than a hardware store. It has a nice year round garden center, a post office and a large gift shop including locally made items. On the side of the building is a really good food stand.

The Old Red Truck intrigued me initially, particularly with the US post office. There is a new local vendor, Mount Pleasant Endeavors, that offers high-quality fabrics, wallpaper and accessories, plus works from local artists. I had two low bookcases that could be turned into additional seating with cushions. A custom job, Emily and I considered several fabrics (active grandchildren) and I was able to take home samples. I was impressed with Emily's passion for fabrics and the depth of her knowledge. There was a wide selection in her portfolio. The result is simply stunning. It matches my home's "vibe".

This was a great little upgraded hardware store. Loved the look and appeal. There was a section in the back to buy little trinkets and gifts, and plants and a side "restaurant" of some kind. Super cute with friendly staff.

It’s a whole post office at the back of a hardware store. Kinda like a whole McDonald’s inside a Walmart. They have the boxes, envelopes, stamps and everything. It’s literally a real usps post office I guess.. even tho the workers are wearing hardware store uniforms. Kinda like a starbucks inside a Target
