Great experience at Salem Auto Center. I purchased a car here and the whole process went smoothly. The car has been great so far, and everything was handled professionally. Bob helped me and was extremely professional. He’s a really cool, down-to-earth guy. What stood out was how well he managed helping me while also assisting another customer at the same time. He handled everything efficiently without making either of us feel rushed. Overall, it was a great experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another car from them or send business their way.

I recently bought a 2008 Subaru from Salem Auto Center, and I had a great experience. The team was very friendly and easy to talk to. They were honest in all our conversations, explained everything clearly, and made the whole process smooth and comfortable. It’s not always easy to find people in the car business you can trust, but these guys really stand by their word. I’m very happy with my car and definitely recommend Salem Auto Center to anyone looking for a reliable vehicle and honest service.

VERY good prices. I was even impressed looking at other vehicle prices on their lot that I wasn't even interested in. I was initially disappointed after my purchase, as we found some issues I felt should have been found/addressed by them beforehand- issues that did not surface on one test drive. However, the owner was reasonable and professional, and after some back and forth, he made an effort to make it right. Furthermore, and even more impressive to me, the salesman called me a couple days later to check in and make sure I felt ok about the situation-- something he did not need to do. These 2 things combined earned them a 5 star review... which I was far from feeling a couple days ago :) My recommendation: if you are looking for great prices, this is a good spot, but know your stuff and check the vehicles thoroughly (as you always should with used cars). The current salesman is professional and seems honest to me- a good soul. His call was very genuine, and impressed me that he was willing to make it, after I had shared some frustration with the owner. Not something people running a scam would do. In hindsight, I should have been more thorough on my inspection and test drive; knowing this was a used vehicle. I am still very happy with the vehicle for the price I got it- the savings will cover the current issues. All major mechanical things (engine, transmission, etc.) seem great and the vehicle drives fine.

Went to go check out a 2011 Mercedes and asked if I was able to look or possibly test drive, guy says unless I’m paying in cash then no. But was able to look in the car, as I looked I was walked over to and was told it was disrespectful to look inside the vehicle and under the hood because I wasn’t buying and was told I was “tearing it apart” by lifting the hood and fixing the engine cover that was loose and falling off. Man was rude and horrible customer service.

These guys are the SLEAZIEST most dishonest used car lot in salem. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BUY A VEHICLE TO LEAVE A REVIEW. We test drove a couple cars from these guys and took them to our local and long time family mechanic. What he found was an atrocity. Black oil, never been changed. Cracked cv boots covered with black duct tape. Body panels held together with zipties. Leaking gaskets. THESE GUYS ARE THE WORST. BEWARE!!
