Freeman Motor Portland Showroom

A pretty slick operation out of Portland with knowledgeable staff and possibly the coolest showroom I've ever seen (definitely has a PNW vibe going on!). Worked with Samantha (sales) and James (finance) off and on for about a week and there was never any pressure to commit to anything - just a lot of questions on my behalf (since I was 3 hours North of their dealership). Everything went smooth and we had even talked about possibly arranging to ship the cars (purchase + trade-in that they were happy to coordinate), but I ultimately decided to just drive down and see the dealership myself and meet some of the people who worked there. Glad I did, as I got to see firsthand what's involved in qualifying for "Quality Dealer of the Year". Very happy with how it all turned out and would certainly entertain another 6 hour round trip to do business with them again.

This was my First Car. and have a limited financial situation to work with.. also relatively low credit, and.. somehow these fantastic people cut and made deals until I could afford my dream starter car, even when the bank didn't trust me, they convinced them that I am indeed worth the risk, I couldn't ask for better service, Management was super kind and respectful, and I was honestly surprised, if I had to buy another car, I would trust these guys more than a shady cheap dealership, Well Done all around..

Bought a BMW from them, David in sales was really easy to work with. No pressure, he took care of everything I asked and was really honest about the car. I bought it sight unseen and they let me do a PPI in the shop there. Closing was easy, registration with the help of their title clerk was the easiest vehicle registration I have ever done. Would buy from them again.

Good sales staff but Speedy Gonzales doesn't work there. After arriving at our appt, we had over an hour to do our cash purchase. Might wanna bring lunch with you. Company is a little hard to get to. They have multiple bldgs, hard to find parking. It's like doing biz in a shoebox. But their cars are worth the extra effort.

Overall the buying experience at Freeman Motor Company was smooth and the staff were friendly, and I’m still very happy with the car I purchased. My main frustration was with a $500 “Crystal Fusion” windshield product that was added during the sale. I was told the product would be applied on the car and I’d receive a product/package afterward but despite multiple follow-ups over the past year, I never received anything or got a clear resolution. There was also some confusion with registration fees after the purchase. I initially received a refund related to the registration costs, but later was contacted and told I owed money back due to a revised fee schedule/rate change. I understand mistakes can happen, but the process was confusing and could have been communicated much more clearly upfront. The dealership itself was good to work with overall, but the lack of follow-through and communication after the sale left a disappointing final impression.
