February 27, 2026, I went into Advantage Auto Sales and test drove a Buick Enclave. As soon as I got around the corner, I had to turn around and come back because the power steering went out and the brakes barely worked. I couldn’t even properly test drive the vehicle. When I brought it back and said something about it, they tried telling me nothing was wrong with it, even though the dashboard was clearly showing a power steering warning. I then test drove a 2012 Chevy Equinox. That vehicle had problems too. I pointed out several issues, and they told me everything would be fixed by Saturday morning. I decided to buy the Chevy and put $2,000 down. I was told the vehicle would be ready Monday. Monday came, and suddenly the transmission was out. They told me not to worry because they were ordering the part. Thursday came and went. No part. Then they swore up and down that their mechanic and Jimmy Armatas promised the vehicle would be done Friday by the end of business. Friday rolls around, and around 4 PM I called. Guess what? The vehicle still wasn’t fixed. So much for being their “top priority.” Then Jimmy told me he had a Cadillac I could drive while I waited for my vehicle. I drove that Cadillac for almost four weeks with little to no information about my Equinox. Eventually, I asked about just switching over to the Cadillac. Jimmy asked if I could put down another down payment. I specifically told him no. I told him I could increase my monthly payment by $100, making it $500 a month. He agreed. I made a $500 payment, and instead of applying it how we discussed, he used it as another down payment after I specifically said I could not put another down payment down. To make matters worse, the same day I got the Cadillac, it stalled in the middle of the road because it had little to no oil in it. The car overheated, and I had to shut the engine off. When I called and asked why there was no oil in the vehicle, I got attitude instead of answers. I later got the Cadillac inspected and was told the vehicle had previously been in an accident and that there were mileage discrepancies. Then on April 15, I went to the Ohio BMV thinking I could get tags and plates because I believed I had everything I needed. That’s when I found out there were title issues. On April 28, I contacted Jimmy and explained all the problems I was having. Instead of helping, he basically acted like my mechanic didn’t know what he was talking about and dismissed everything. Then he told me he didn’t have my title and that someone else had it. Fine. But I was never called to pick it up, and I still wasn’t given what I needed. After speaking with the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, I learned that dealerships are required to provide titles within a certain timeframe. Since that didn’t happen, I filed a complaint. Ever since then, Jimmy has acted more concerned about me “going behind his back” than the fact that he failed to do his job as a dealer. I didn’t betray anybody. I spoke up for myself because I was making payments on a vehicle I couldn’t legally register due to title issues. Now the Attorney General has sent him a letter, and he still isn’t cooperating. It’s been over a month of excuses and delays. At this point, I want my money back and for him to take the vehicle back. It really is that simple. This isn’t his first time dealing with title issues either. Back when his dealership was called AutoNation, he reportedly faced legal trouble over failing to provide titles and had to pay restitution. Now he’s operating as Advantage Auto Sales, and from my experience, nothing has changed. I was making my payments. I was reliable. I did everything I was supposed to do. Meanwhile, I was left without a vehicle I could legally register, without a title, and without answers. Buyer beware. Do not go through Advantage Auto Sales in Canton, Ohio. In my opinion, Jimmy Armatas will tell you what you want to hear, take your money, and leave you dealing with the consequences. This has been one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had buying a vehicle.

If there was less than 1 stars i would choose that. Jimmy Amatas of ADVANTAGE AUTO SALES LLC in Canton, OH is shady to deal with. Solely because of him I will NEVER do any further business with Advantage Auto Sales. He will lie and sabotage any/every deal. *CAVEAT EMPTOR* BUYER BEWARE

Terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE!!! Crooks!!! We had a vehicle for a little less than 4 months and the transmission went out. They went and got the vehicle from the garage it was at and then turned around and posted it back up for sale. The transmission is TOAST, and there’s no way they fixed the transmission that quick to turn around and resell!!! I’m all for buy here pay here and with a car that got some problems, but we knows the transmission is toast because we had our mechanic look at it after it left me stranded on the side of the road and they still trynna sell the car! Ridiculous
