Had a great experience selling our vehicle through carmax!!!! The staff was phenomenal, they made the experience so easy especially as we were selling a vehicle in North Carolina and live in New York! The process was great and left with check in hand. We went to another dealer initially and they were not helpful at all, it was a breath of fresh air dealing with winterville CarMax!

I had a pleasant experience! Everyone I spoke to were very attentive and knowledgeable. I went in to sell my car and process was super easy I was in and out in an hour. I did forget my garage opener in the old car and they were happy to hold it until I picked it up.

Made an appointment to sell our car at the CarMax offered price. No issues at all with the sell. Everyone was helpful and courteous. Also made an appointment to test drive an purchase a car. Again, everyone was helpful and courteous. The salesperson was great. We have bought 10 cars from CarMax over the years. Some at this location and some from others. We bought an SUV priced at $40,000. There was only one key fob available. CarMax will not pay for a second key fob. That is really cheap. A traditional dealer would absolutely pay for a second fob as a condition of purchase. The other thing that we were not particularly happy with was the condition of the car. CarMax provides many pictures of their cars and points out imperfections. In my experience this time and the last several cars I bought from them, they only point out one or two imperfections when there are generally more. The car that we bought had a door ding the size of a quarter with missing paint and the front bumper was scuffed on one corner with a poor attempt at painted over two 3-4” scratches where the paint was totally gone. These were not listed in the pictures as imperfections. We purchased the car anyway and I had the repairs made by a local paint and body expert. There are also imperfections on the interior of the car that were not disclosed (scuffs/scratches on the dash and vent). When I first started buying from CarMax, I could trust that the vehicle I was interested in would be exactly as described. That’s not what I have found to be the case on the last three cars I’ve purchased.

I would give no stars if I could. This store is unorganized & unwelcoming. I traveled 45 min to and from this store 5 times due to them not being prepared. First off when I walked in they didn't greet me at all! I was given a look of disgust because my clothes had flour on them from working. Before I could even test drive the car they wanted the down payment. That's the first thing they asked for! Nobody gives money without test driving a car first! I was treated like a nobody from the beginning all the way to the end. So glad I didn't give them my money! If you are thinking of coming here save your gas & time🤣 because it will definitely be wasted. The whole store needs new employee's!!!
