Hertz Car Sales Webster

I just had a wonderful experience working with Stephanie in the Hertz Bozeman Airport office. She was incredibly patient and helpful. It was the best customer service I've had in a very long time.

I want to highlight the excellent service provided by Philips. After having several difficulties during the rental process, he was the one who truly made the difference. He showed an exceptional level of professionalism, patience, and dedication, quickly and effectively resolving what had previously been complicated. Philips not only solved my case but did so with a positive attitude, respect, and outstanding customer service. It’s clear that he genuinely cares about helping customers and ensuring they are completely satisfied. Employees like Philips elevate the image of a company. I truly hope his effort is recognized, as his work deserves to be valued and taken as an example.

This is exactly how businesses should handle feedback. I appreciate the professional response and the focus on improvement rather than excuses. It’s a standard more should follow, and I’m happy to update my rating to 4 stars.

1 Star. Very disappointing experience with Hertz Uber Rentals at 1216 Burnet Ave, Syracuse, NY. I was accused of failing to complete a vehicle inspection and my rental privileges were suspended, causing financial losses and preventing me from working. The service records show that I took the vehicle to the authorized service center on May 23, 2026, where three tires were replaced, but no inspection was authorized or performed. I never received any clear notification through the Hertz app, email, text message, or phone call requiring an additional inspection. Customers deserve fair treatment, accurate information, and proper communication. I hope Hertz corporate reviews how this matter was handled.

Shameful Experience with Hertz – Left a Mother of Five Stranded I’m writing this to strongly caution anyone considering Hertz for their rental needs—especially families. Our recent experience was not only frustrating—it was inhumane. On May 10th, I was in a serious accident while working in North Carolina, suffering a fractured spine and shattered ribs. I was flown back home to New York on May 12th, barely able to move and trying to recover. Before the accident, we had planned a family trip where my wife would drive down with our five children—all under five years old—to meet me in North Carolina. We booked and paid in full for a van rental through Hertz in our home state of New York, under my wife’s name, to make that trip possible. Even after the trip was canceled due to my injuries, we still needed the rental—her personal vehicle had become unsafe to drive, and we needed something reliable for our five young children while her car went in for service. On May 14th, my wife went to the Hertz location to pick up the vehicle. She had everything they should have needed: The reservation in her name The credit card used to pay Her valid ID Still, the customer service agent flat-out refused to give her the vehicle unless I came in personally—even after we explained that I had just been in a serious accident and was bedridden at home. This was not only unreasonable—it was heartless. To make matters worse, they charged a $200 hold without any notice during the reservation process. That was never disclosed, and added insult to injury. We’ve rented from other companies before, in the exact same way, with zero issues. Hertz was the only one to treat us like criminals instead of customers. And had I still been in North Carolina, my wife would have been stranded with five small children, no car, and no support—because Hertz refused to honor a paid reservation. This company showed zero compassion, zero flexibility, and zero integrity. I would never trust them again with anything important, and I strongly urge others—especially families—not to make the same mistake.
