Let me start by saying I was originally going to look at a 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe they had and saw the Chevy Silverado LTZ of my dreams! I gave up on truck shopping because the prices were out of control. When I walked over and saw this 2018 Silverado with 89k for $21,000 I was impressed because it was super clean and being an LTZ....loaded! Here comes my issues: It was a Saturday around 430 when I initially saw it and knew I couldn't do much so I told the girl I would come back first thing Monday. Unfortunately we got a major snowstorm on Sunday which closed most businesses on Monday so when I called they said we will be here on Tuesday so I said great I don't go to work until 11 so I will be there at 9 sharp, then they said they were opening 2 hours late to clear snow. Ok see you on Wednesday 9 am sharp. This was still Monday so I liked the the truck so much I put a $500 deposit to hold it. On Tuesday I have sales asking me if I can come in today and I said no I will have to make it Wednesday so I have a couple hours before I need to go to work. They replied...."Ok we will see you then"..."if it doesn't sell by then". Immediately I got upset wondering why it would sell with a $500 deposit. Needless to say I went in on Tuesday because somebody screwed up not knowing I had a deposit on it etc etc. (ok not a biggie). Now I am there at 11 sharp to get a test drive and financing in place,mind you I did my application online to speed up process. I dealt with Miss Stone and JV in finance. I took the test drive and like I thought it was tight and a well taken care of vehicle. Came back after 15 minutes told them it's sold and thats when I sat for over 1.5 hours waiting on JV,being left in the dark the whole time and not seeing any progress until he was done by this time it's already 1 and I needed to be at work for 11 but told them my situation here and at work. I had no idea what was going on with interest rate or payment until the last minute along with their Paint Protection Program which is complete BS for another $700 on top of the $795 dealer fee. He goes to me" I didn't realize you were a first time buyer" I said I am 56 years old I've had 3 houses and a dozen cars, why do you say that? That's whatThe bank told me ! And then they also had me at a 675 credit rating for some reason (when I was at a 745 that morning) My issue here is why was I left in the showroom while all this bank financing shopping was happening when I could have answered many questions to make this a pleasant experience. I should have walked out right there because he had me with a 12% loan for 6 years which I will definitely refinance. I don't feel like they were working with me closely as they claim. If I had more time I would have disputed the ridiculous paint protection fee they charge. (Still not sure what it does) Their prices are great if you can keep them from adding on all the extras! As far as competency,I didn't feel warm and fuzzy with them. The kicker is on the way out they basically tell you to give them 5 stars and don't even ask how your experience had been with CarFive. I did recommend them to a co-worker but told him of the issues as well. I am happy with the truck I think I needed to be treated better... Period!!
