By far one of the best experiences I’ve ever had purchasing a vehicle. I was just on the hunt for something new because the vehicle I was in at the time was about to be done. I dealt with Cobi and he made the process so smooth and easy. Typically you try to make the dealer an offer they can’t refuse. Total opposite in this case. They made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. I purchased a 2017 Ram 1500 Sport from this dealership in 2020, at a fair price for the year and mileage, but I learned a few lessons along the way. This dealership will sell you a truck that isn’t necessarily up to par, and it’s on you to catch any issues before you drive off the lot. For example, there was a fog light out. I figured it was a simple bulb replacement, but that didn’t fix it. Then there was the well-known issue with the emergency brake on these trucks—when engaged, it would release but not re-tension properly, leaving the cable hanging underneath. I wasn’t aware of this issue at the time, but when I brought it up, they assured me they’d fix it. Their “fix” was getting under the truck with a pry bar and manually re-tensioning the cable instead of actually repairing the parking brake. That’s on me for not verifying before leaving. The windshield was pitted pretty badly, but you aren’t able to see unless moisture and sunlight are in the equation. I think the coatings from their detailed may have improved the visual disturbance of the pitting because I didn’t notice until after a rain when the sun came back out afterwards. I also had to replace the tires, which were more worn than I initially realized, and there was a faulty map light inside the truck. Some of these things I should have caught—my bad—but I would expect a reputable dealership to check for issues like burned-out lights and malfunctioning parking brakes before selling a vehicle. Would I buy from them again? Maybe, but I’d definitely go over the vehicle much more thoroughly and possibly have my own mechanic inspect it before signing anything. I’m sharing this so others can go in prepared. And if the dealership reads this, you should do better for your customers without needing to be asked. I understand it’s a business, but as the experts, you shouldn’t send people out in vehicles that aren’t mechanically and electrically sound.
