Great experience ! We reserved a car for Hertz rent-to-buy program and had excellent communication all the way. Took Amtrak from Kansas City to St Louis and were picked up by Hertz salesperson. Drove the car for testing. No sales pressure from anyone. Paperwork was done in a timely manner and drove the car back to KC ! Also, Hertz headquaretr for rental car sales in Oklahome city has awesome customer service all way around. I'd definetly recommend Hertz to anyone interested in buying a rental car. Out of all of my experiences of financing a vehicle, Hertz was by far the easiest. I went into this fully expecting to be denied and was shocked to find out I was approved so easily! The service was great! The employees were amazing and the experience was so seamless, I went home with a car in only a couple of hours. The sales team initially tried to charge me a $500 fee that their website clearly advertises they do not charge. When I questioned it, they argued with me instead of simply honoring their advertised pricing. They finally agreed to remove the fee, and we completed all the paperwork. I had to repeatedly ask to see the documents before signing because none of the pricing or interest rate information was visible. When they finally printed everything out, I discovered they had quietly added the $500 fee back in. I had to argue with them a second time to have it removed. Their explanation was that they "don't do rent-to-buy very often" and that it was due to a new policy, which was not reassuring. The problems didn't end there. Because I technically "rented" the vehicle for about an hour before purchasing it, they somehow left the rental open and my credit card was charged daily rental fees for an entire week. I was repeatedly bounced between Hertz Rental and Hertz Sales, with each department telling me to call the other. After more than four phone calls and a week of incorrect charges, the rental fees were finally removed. The vehicle itself had an issue that was obvious during the test drive: the windshield washer fluid leaked into the back of the vehicle. Instead of repairing it before the sale, they told me it was covered under warranty and that I would have to purchase the car first and then schedule repairs with a dealership. I ended up waiting four weeks to have a problem that existed before the sale addressed. They also gave me an out-of-state title without informing me that I would need an ID/OD inspection. While I don't mind completing the inspection, it's their responsibility to explain that requirement or have the necessary inspection completed before delivery. To make matters worse, they also completed the title paperwork incorrectly by listing only me on the lien instead of both my husband and me, creating yet another issue that had to be corrected. The only person I dealt with who was genuinely kind and helpful was Tian. Everyone else came across as unprofessional, dishonest, or simply incompetent. Once they had my money, it felt like they had no concern for the problems they created. I would not recommend buying a vehicle from this dealership.
