I drove an hour to look at a car here and Ryan was very nice and helpful he answered my questions. There was a issue with the tire sensors of car I purchased. He offer for me to come back so he could fix the the issue. He has lots of nice decently priced vehicles on his lot. I would recommend his dealership to anyone looking to buy a car. You don't have to always look in your backyard. Venture out you might get a better deal. I did.

I had a really great experience with Dakota Motor. The entire process was straightforward, no pressure, and honestly refreshing compared to other dealerships I’ve dealt with. As a single woman in my 50s, I truly appreciated how respectful and transparent they were. I never felt rushed or talked into anything, and they answered all of my questions clearly. Their inventory is high quality, and I felt confident in the vehicle I purchased. If you’re looking for a stress-free car buying experience with people you can trust, I highly recommend Dakota Motor. We will be back for sure!!

Saw one of their car listed online. Made an appointment to see it with Sam. Got to the lot, Sam was very accommodating. We liked the vehicle. Accepted their offer and purchased it. Sam made the whole process very seamless and efficient. Very well worth the hour drive from our house. We'll go back when we need another quality used vehicle.

Buyer beware is all I can say!! Don’t trust what they say. First test drive went good minus I noticed the tires were very warm. Don’t worry we got new tires if you purchase at asking price. Seemed fair, come to find out the tires are Arroyo and there website says do not use in winter climates. Makes sense why I’ve never seen them. This is MN and it’s in February..New all season tires purchased $900.Check my air filter at home and it was filthy! Should have looked but Sam said fresh oil change new brakes, we check the car over. Free to have a mechanic look at it but in which would no way any mechanic would not change that air filter. So who looks at their cars before purchase.. I mean Gravel was in the grooves even. So took car to Subaru for an oil change. Three open recalls and $1000 broken rear coils later.. here I am. $2000+more out of pocket and just turned Ac on the other day when it was 70 and hot air blew out.. can’t wait to see how much this cost. So know going in the cars need work they are not sharing. Get a carfax and see how many accidents it’s been in too for added knowledge. They will tell you it is not big deal since the airbags didn’t go off..take that advice to your pocketbook.

I’ll start by saying I share some responsibility for this experience. Dakota Motor Company already has numerous negative Google reviews, and I was warned by a family friend who also had a bad experience. I should have known better. I purchased a 2016 Honda Pilot EX-L from Dakota Motor Company, and the vehicle was sold in a condition that should never have passed a competent pre-sale inspection. The brake pads were at approximately 3 mm, the battery installed was not properly rated for the vehicle, causing electrical issues, and there was a tire with a slow leak—all basic items that should have been addressed before sale. I also identified a leaking water pump during the test drive. While the dealership replaced the water pump and timing belt, they used aftermarket parts, not OEM, something multiple professionals have since advised against for this kind of work. What I initially thought was a good-faith repair now appears to have been a cost-cutting decision rather than a quality one. After purchase, the vehicle developed a knocking noise. My local mechanic identified it as an internal engine issue as well as metal shavings in the engine oil. The vehicle came with a 30-day powertrain warranty, and I am now 40 days from purchase. When I contacted the owner, Ryan, it took about 25 minutes of rambling ambiguity on the phone to get a clear answer. He eventually stated that if the issue was related to their repair, they would address it, but if it was an internal engine issue, it would be entirely my responsibility. While I understand warranty limits, the lack of directness and accountability was disappointing. Overall, the inspection, repair choices, and communication reflect a level of care I would expect from amateurs rather than a professional dealership. Once the sale was complete, support effectively disappeared. If you value transparency and competent service, take the existing reviews seriously and look elsewhere. Update: While communication was frustrating and the warranty terms are understood, the primary concern remains the condition of the vehicle at sale and the seriousness of the issues that emerged days later.
