Buyer beware post: Hey guys I just wanted to post my experience with Allstars Auto sales on Corunna rd in flint mi. February 25, I purchased a used AS-IS vehicle from them for $3,000. I Test drove the vehicle, it started up and ran fine, no dash lights. It also had only 158,323 miles. I drove the car home, but 5 minutes away from home the engine light came on. I called the car lot but realized they were close because it was after 5 pm so I decided to wait until the next day to call back. I called back the next day and the owners son told to bring the car in to get it tested. I took the car in, he tested it and told it was an 02 sensor and that if the engine light pops back on to give him a call so that they can have me take to their mechanic. On my way home I notice the engine light come on again so I took the vehicle home. The next day I was going to take the vehicle back to the car lot but it wouldn’t start, only with a boost. It also wouldn’t start after you cut the vehicle off. I ended up purchasing a battery with no luck. I had the car told to a repair shop and which I found out the car lot where I purchased the vehicle and the repair shop were the same people. Within a day they had the car running and I was back on the road for $218.00 . While doing errands I noticed the engine light pop back on and the car started overheating. Once I got somewhere close to stop and park the car and lift the hood, the car was smoking and leaking antifreeze everywhere. I decided to let the car cool down and then take it home but it would not start. Well the repair shop came a picked the vehicle up and writhing 2 days I had the vehicle back again. I went and did errands again and the same issue the vehicle would not start. The repair shop came a picked the vehicle back up but this time they kept the vehicle for 3 weeks, finally saying it was the head gasket and that they would put some stop leak in the vehicle. Finally that third week they called and said the vehicle was ready but they were going to let the owner test the car before giving it back to me, but 4pm the next day I had the vehicle back. The car drove fine home until I got home and it once again was leaking something. We called the repair shop they told me it needed a radiator cap and to put only water in it and not antifreeze. They charged me $20 dollars for the cap. Well it drove fine for a couple days but when I went to run errands again the car wouldn’t start. So now the vehicle is sitting in my driveway completely dead, the repair shop told me that “they did all they could do for the vehicle and owner needs to make it right and give me another car at least”. I’m saying this to say I know I’m not getting my money back for the vehicle because it was as-is and I know the lemon law as well so I can’t do anything about the vehicle but to either get it fixed or just junk. The point of this post was for others to be aware of ALL STAR AUTO SALES they are selling junk cars right off the lot. Do not spend your money there it will be a waste of time and hassle.
