I had the pleasure of working with Chris while helping my stepson buy his first new car. Don’t believe the negative reviews, Chris was great and probably the easiest salesman I’ve ever worked with. I’ve been buying and selling cars for 32 years and one of the nicest guys I’ve meet and worked with. Not only was there zero pressure, but he took the time with my stepson to help him understand the process. Nearly every car I’ve ever inspected, I’ve always had to do it away from the dealership, because I know the tactics that most places do, but in this case, they let me use their garage to inspect the vehicle… even during the rainy day when we looked at it. Chris understood a new buyers issues and allowed us to hold the car for a few days without a deposit and once financing was secured, he had the vehicle there as promised. I can’t say enough good things about Chris or the dealership and I never write reviews unless I experience the service I received from them. Please understand that not all negative reviews are justified and people complaining leave out details of their own faults. Chris was great and I would recommend him and the dealership for your next car. Vehicle was immaculate and the extended warranty was reasonable. I have peace of mind knowing that my stepson is in a solid car and if anything were to happen, he’s covered on any future repairs. Thanks again Chris, I appreciate your professionalism.

This was my first time ever going into a dealership in general so let's say I was intimidated based from other people's bad experiences with dealerships. Got my first car from them, they treated me like family, were very helpful and transparent. In and out deal, didn't need to haggle. The guys there are brutally honest about the cars and warn you of issues/common problems with the vehicles your interested in. I ended up getting a 2015 Honda Fit from them with a 3 year warranty in case anything arises. I highly recommend working with Chris from this company, real comedian. They have fast responses as well and I don't need to deal with robots.

I purchased a 2012 Volvo xc60 from Chris at Cars-R-Us in October 2025. My overall experience was excellent in every way. Chris was relaxed, respectful, and helpful. I knew what I was looking for, and he made the process as smooth as possible (despite my poor credit rating). Inside the car I noticed some water stains around the A pillars, and as a Volvo owner recognized potential problems with sunroof draining leading to electrical problems. The windshield was also leaking water, which was a common problem with P3 XC60's. Chris drained and serviced the sunroof drains, and had the windshield removed and resealed for me. He also saw the replacement USB port that I purchased and installed that for me without asking. He let me store my old, rundown xc70 on the lot for a couple weeks while I figured out what to do with it. The car I purchased is 13 years old, but only had 55k mi and one owner in Florida, with a super clean carfax and service history. Everything was as advertised, and if it wasn't, Chris made sure to make it right. I was dealing with my elderly Mom in hospice at the time of purchase and Chris was very empathetic and understanding of my family situation - checking in via text to ask how my Mom was doing throughout the process. Next time I need to purchase a vehicle, I'll start with Chris at Cars-R-Us and go from there.

Let me start by saying my situation wasn’t atypical. I began searching for my first vehicle within the span of about a month and visited many of the major dealerships within Chicagoland. Many presented me with deals that were predatory based on the guise that my “ credit was none existent “ or “ lacking in history “, My inexperience was definitely taken advantage of. Before committing however I decided to go try a smaller, used car dealership within my neighborhood and was not disappointed. From the interpersonal salesmanship of Chris (Very good guy) to the amount of work that was put into getting me into a good vehicle despite my lack of history; I was not disappointed. I ended up driving home in a Subaru Legacy before my auto loan was even approved; another testament to the character of Chris. Got a good car, with tons of communication, for a good price. For anyone reading these reviews trying to decide if CARS R US is for them all I ask is what are you waiting for? No pressure, no hassle, no problems! Would 10 out of 10 if possible and will definitely be returning for my next ride. Thank you Chris and thank you Cars R Us!

Beware of these scammers. I purchased car here and within days it became undriveable. The battery kept dying, the hood wouldn’t open, it had to be towed, and it wouldn’t shift into park. A mechanic found electrical issues and said the brakes and rotors need replacement. These major problems started almost immediately. I tried calling and emailing this dealership but they refused to take any responsibility.
