⚠️ WARNING — PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING A CAR HERE ⚠️ First things first: do NOT buy a car from this place without bringing your own mechanic. I came in desperate for a vehicle because I had just started a new job that required me to be there at 5 AM, and I had no other transportation. I told the owner (Cheryl) my situation, and at first, she showed me a few Chevrolets I was comfortable with. I decided to look around at other lots before committing. The next day, Cheryl called saying she had a “special” on a Hyundai Sonata. I came in, test-drove it — it drove quietly and seemed fine — and I ended up signing the paperwork in less than 10 minutes (which, looking back, should have been my first red flag). Within just a few days, the check engine light and oil light came on. I contacted her assistant, who told me to make an appointment with their mechanic since I was still within the 30-day/1,000-mile warranty. I set an appointment but had to reschedule due to being admitted to the hospital. When I reached out again, Cheryl had an attitude and started blaming me for the issues. On top of that, the car was infested with roaches, which I spent my own money trying to get rid of. When I told her this, she was rude, dismissive, and instead of showing concern, she gave me attitude and pointed fingers. Later, she called back claiming I had an “extended warranty” through Hyundai, so I contacted them directly. Hyundai told me my car model is known for engine problems and that it might be covered if the engine was knocking or seized and the previous owner had proper maintenance records. I took it in, and they told me to try adding oil and driving for a week. The oil light went off temporarily, but kept coming back — I ended up spending over $60 just on oil in one month. A second Hyundai dealership later confirmed that my car wasn’t covered under warranty. When I called Cheryl to tell her, she immediately got loud and started yelling over both me and the service advisor — who was calmly trying to explain the situation. She even hung up on him mid-conversation. Now I’m stuck out of the money I put down, without a working car, and possibly losing my job because of it. I returned the car, and no — I didn’t make my first payment, because I wanted to make sure the vehicle was actually reliable before wasting more money. Any reasonable person would do the same. She never once apologized for selling me a lemon. All she could talk about was the miles I drove, trying to shift blame instead of taking accountability — even though multiple service techs said she sold the car with these issues. To make matters worse, she was tracking my location while I still had the car, which made me extremely uncomfortable. I had no reason to hide anything — I just didn’t want to be watched while driving a car that was falling apart. Be very careful if you decide to do business with her. I wouldn’t wish this headache on anyone. I’m already reaching out to legal counsel because she should not be allowed to treat customers like this. And if she responds to this review trying to twist the story or put the blame on me — that’ll only prove my point further.
