We were looking for a car after my daughter was hit by a guy that ran a red light. Totaled her car and injured her. After getting her well, an Auto friend of mine pointed me to Dodge of Winter haven. My daughter wanted another Toyota Corolla due to the protection it offered when hit and the perks of the car. We found it at Dodge in Winterhaven. We contacted Kyle Williams at the dealership. Kyle was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to help us with the paperwork, prepping and guiding us through the process. Financing was quick and we didn’t have to wait most of the day for it. Kyle made sure the car was filled up, cleaned and serviced before we headed back to Tallahassee, Florida. 0 stars would’ve sufficed. Took our vehicle to this dealership TWICE. First time my husband dealt with Vicky. Took the vehicle in for steering issues (specifically stated the known issue which was the gear box because steering was extremely loose husband was formerly ASE certified tech over 20+ yrs) which obviously never got inspected because they would’ve known NOT to do an alignment. They did rear end work and instead stated whatever they did to the rear end was the cause and the truck was in very bad need of an alignment. I am who picked up the vehicle being that my husband was away for work and was charged for an alignment that should’ve never been done on the vehicle in the first place due to having a bad gear box (WHICH IT WAS ORIGINALLY BROUGHT IN FOR BUT MECHANIC STATED NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH IT),etc. Husband returned back in town noted the vehicle to not be correctly serviced and took it back. 2nd time he took it back for the same issues and dealt with Amber. After diagnosing the vehicle Amber contacted him stating the thousands in repairs. THIS MECHANIC listed gear box, ball joints, etc. She was then told of the multiple warranties on the vehicle in which she then stated it wasn’t covered and she couldn’t find the information. We drove to the dealership provided the warranties that shown everything in the estimate was covered. She then stated “well all of that stuff the technician listed isn’t necessarily needed it’s just a suggestion” which was odd because it was indeed a diagnosis therefore FIX IT. Don’t change your tune when you realize it’s covered and not out of pocket. Dealership had the truck over a month AND STILL wasn’t correct. Steering wheel had to be held to the left to keep it straight in the road yet there was an alignment?? They clearly aren’t driving these vehicles afterwards. My husband consistently had to play the middle man between Amber and the warranty company because each time he’d call Amber for an update she’d state they were waiting on approvals which were already approved. Went through 2 different parts that supposedly the mechanic declined to use. Ended up using their parts. Amber said the truck would be ready by Thursday it wasn’t ready until the following Monday and STILL NOT CORRECT. Since Vicky wasn’t returning calls we Took the vehicle to the dodge in Davenport on Tuesday and they had the vehicle ready midday Friday. Truck has been immaculate ever since. They corrected previous issues and some. Would never recommend this place.
