I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was both disappointing and extremely frustrating. After speaking with Frank, I clearly communicated that we would be purchasing the vehicle and even sent a message stating that everything looked good and that we were arranging travel for my sons to fly down and pick it up. Based on our conversation, we began planning the trip and moving forward with the purchase. The following day, I was informed that another buyer was working a finance deal on the vehicle. Frank later acknowledged that he "should have asked for a deposit" and that the situation was "on me." He also explained that one of his employees was handling the deal while he was out to lunch. As a business owner myself, I understand that deposits are important and that vehicles can be sold. My issue is not that a deposit wasn't taken. My issue is that after we had clearly committed to buying the vehicle, nobody contacted us before proceeding with another buyer. A simple phone call saying, "I have another buyer here ready to leave a deposit, do you want to secure the car?" would have solved the entire situation. We would have immediately provided a deposit. Instead, we found out after the fact that the vehicle was being sold to someone else, despite having already committed to purchasing it and beginning travel arrangements. Business is built on communication and honoring commitments. While Frank was polite throughout the conversation, the way this transaction was handled fell short of what I would expect from a dealership. Future buyers should beware that a commitmemt from this dealer is good until another customer walks in with interest in the same vehicle. That's simply not how I conduct business, and unfortunately it's not a dealership I would choose to work with in the future.
