I purchased a car from Jay a little over a month ago. From start to finish he made the experience beyond my greatest expectations. He’s very responsive and accommodating. He genuinely wants to match his customers with the car that suits their needs and budget. He is patient all the questions and thorough with the answers he gives. He follows through with promises. I was shocked to know that he is not the owner of this dealership as he treats the customers as if they are his own and he is so invested in the reputation of the business. He swayed me away from on the “pretty” car I wanted and guided me to the car that made sense for me and my needs, which is exactly what I needed. I had an issue a few weeks after purchasing the car and he kept his word to ensure the car was in working order. He had a mechanic look at it and returned to me in tip top shape. I’m so thankful and can’t recommend Jay and Benicia Elite enough. Buying a used car can be a risky experience but this one was absolutely wonderful.

Jay was an excellent salesman, met us out front and walked us through all the cars we eyed in the lot. He allowed me to test drive the 2012 beetle turbo twice, gave us detailed information about the car, insurance going forward, pricing, and was even able to get us lowered to exactly $8000. Wonderful experience, and will be coming back for any maintenance or help I may need! :)

Here is the Pro and Con when buying a used car at Benicia Elite Auto Group: Pro (Good): Jay was nice sales person with knowledge about most cars. Purchased used nice Toyota Avalon at good CarFax price. Con: (Bad) Poor or no communication after driving off the car lot. I had to call or text Jay multiple times without a return call back on refund check for over payment on extended warranty. It took 3 weeks to receive refund check. It's now been 7 weeks since purchase of car and have not yet received a replacement brake light bar which was broken and promised by Jay in our contract to be replaced. Still waiting 7 weeks for return call back with tracking number delivery. You be the judge do Pro out way the lack of communication Con. Thanks!

I bought a car from Benitia Elite Auto Group last year. To be fair, the purchase itself went well, the car was in good condition overall, and the manager was great during the transaction. Unfortunately, everything changed after the sale. During the purchase, I was told they needed to keep one of the spare keys until I made my first payment, and that they would mail the spare key back to me afterward. I made the payment, but the key never arrived. I called in January and was told I would receive it in February. February passed, and nothing happened. I called again in April, and by then the manager was suddenly impossible to reach. Someone else told me they would take down my number and call me back because, apparently, they may have lost the key. Since then, I have called multiple times, always giving them plenty of time between calls, and every time I get the same excuse: they do not have my number, the manager has not looked for the key, or nobody knows what is going on. I even gave them a simple solution: send me a check for the full cost of replacing and programming the spare key. They wanted to pay only half, even though they were the ones who kept the key and failed to return it. If they lost the key, they should pay the full replacement cost, including programming. That should not even be a debate. The worst part is not even the key itself. It is the attitude, the lack of accountability, the broken promises, and the way they disappear once the sale is done. What started as a good buying experience turned into a very frustrating and unprofessional one over something that should have been extremely simple to resolve. They could have easily earned a 4- or 5-star review from me. Instead, they earned a 1-star review because of how poorly they handled a basic customer service issue after the sale. I wish Google allowed 0 stars. If a dealership cannot properly handle something as simple as returning a spare key, that says a lot about how they handle customers once they already have your money.

I bought a car here in late February 2026 and THE ENGINE ALREADY BLEW UP!!!! The car salesman(JAY), a very dishonest man lied and told us that in order for us to get approved for the loan without income verification we needed to sign up for a warranty. LIES! I was able to contact the bank representative that handled the loan and he confirmed that it is illegal for a bank to impose warranties of any kind as conditional approvals for financing. DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE!!! Specially from JAY. I have tried contacting them so many times and they keep ignoring my calls. I AM LOOKING FOR A LEMON LAW lawyer to handle my case so I can make this situation right for myself. This kind of dishonestly, scams and fraud is unacceptable. I don't know how Jay sleeps at night.
